Hi guys,
what am i seeing, 23 months as newly updated processing months. This is serious and killing. Can some one tell me the reasons for this long processing ?

Not to try to rattle anyone further but AVO has one of the worst behaviors of any Canadian visa office abroad. And i have had 1st hand experience of how unprofessional and ridiculous they can be.
Having to deal with them a 2nd time is such a nightmare, but this time I'm trusting fully on God 100%. So let's all be strong and let God handle the situation.

This is riculous indeed, from 14 months to 16 months and now to 23 months this is unbearable to Africans, may God have mercy, please do not give up everything will be fine at the end but if it's gonna be like this, l will advice people that have ties to homeland to apply for visiting Visa after their sponsor approval just to be with your spouse for the main time.

Accra VO cannot say they receive more applications than Manila or New Delhi considering the population in Asia. not sure what is holding them up but whatever the case may be, there is a clear indication that Africans are not their priority in terms of their immigration and so called family unification. I am just disgusted and feel bad for those who are yet to apply or have the intension of marrying from back home. Absolutely disgusting!!!!

You know when something is beyond your control, all you do is to cross the finger and pray for mercy because this really did not caught people at a good time at all.

you are absolutely right mercyofGod. have a good weekend and may God bless us all!

Unfortunately, most times..if it's not past the processing time they will not give a prompt response, although the spousal sponsorship is supposed to take priority. My friends application took 4months in total, and another 7 months. So I know it's a case by case basis. Moreso, when they get to the file and more information is needed, (depending on the type of information needed? they will move the file to one side and keep going with others that are more complete or need less things. If and when they manage to find your updated info, they will take their time to respond and the file moves down the list because they have gone past it. That's why for those who haven't started pls ensure u send everything at once. While this is in no way a guarantee, at least u know when they get to ur file , it's an interview or waived. Hopefully the latter.

It shall surely end in praise! God is on the throne and he sure is Greater than all the VO's put together.

hello guys
After cheking my efile on CIC with my wife credential I have notice that her address has been changed from mine(address in Canada) to her address back in Africa.
Does anyone expérience that change.

Stay blessed you all.
Cheers

I think that is how it's suppose to be. Her profile ought to have her residential address, not yours in Canada.
Also shows that your file with AVO is being looked at.

Hey Lamour
Thanks for been so helpfull always.
Be blessed and I hope we all get good news very soon from Accra Visa Office (AVO)

Hello All,

It's been a while since I've been on here. I am happy to report that my wife received her passeport demand today. We are ecstatic.

The only complication is that her medical expires mid September, so we need to act quickly.

I have a couple of questions. Do people recommend using DHL? Second, her family has not changed. Do we include a letter just saying that the family situation is the same, or are we required to re-submit IMM008?

For all those who are waiting, I hope this message provides some hope that there can be light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks,

CONGRATS kpalimeyovo .....WOW God is good!!! Sure must feel good Smiley Happy for you. I pray God's blessings for a happy stay in Canada and an even wonderful marriage now that you will be physically together. whenever you guys encounter marriage difficulties, please remember all these times, these crazy wait times, the anxiety, stress, etc and let it be a reminder of how much you fought for this marriage, how deep your love was to the point you'd wait all this while to be re-united Smiley
