@Obronibini. Nice name! We wanted to do the police check in advance but because we have to send a representative (it is allowed, you just have to give them a photocopy of your passport and some photos of you and then they can go on your behalf) and we figured it would be much less complicated once we have a letter requesting the police check from the Canadian embassy. My husband just had a comprehensive police check to obtain a student visa in the Uk, so I am hoping they take that into consideration and decided to waive it all together. We will see.
We have very similar timelines, it will be nice to see each others progress as we go. Hope to hear good news from you soon!
