I would add that is you are the sponsor you can also get in touch with the Member of Parliament in your federal district in Canada. Sometime they can have more INFO when they call CIC or the immigration minister Office.
On the other hand if you are the person who is been sponsored tell your sponsor to reach out to the Member of Parliament .

Yes Whitelion, I live in Quebec.
No, I did not send CSQ to Accra VO. But, I have read somewhere that Accra could request it again directly from the applicant even though they were informed by MICC that the certificate was issued. We received ours April 7th and until now Accra made no such request for it to be sent.

The waiting time is killing me.

You are welcome. You will receive your CSQ soon. It doesn't take time usually.
Tell me about the wait. This thread is a big help. Having to see that there are others who have been waiting longer than us just give me the strength to take one day at a time.

The member of parliament in my area is of no use at this time because i did write earlier in this thread about my encounter with the MP and the staff to answer your first question. Second question i did call the call center and was referred to contact the VO directly through email which i have been doing with no replies except automated replies. Third question is i am the sponsor.

I KEEP THINKING ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION AND I DISCUSSED IT WITH A FRIEND, FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU ARE THE APPLICANT OR THE SPONSOR, YOU SAID THE APPLICATION IS ON HOLD AND THEY ARE NOT READY TO GIVE YOU ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION, IF YOU ARE THE APPLICANT, I WANNA KNOW IF YOU ARE STILL IN GOOD TERM WITH YOUR PARTNER, I HOPE YOUR PARTNER DID NOT PUT A HOLD ON YOUR APPLICATION, IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE THEN YOU NEED TO CONTACT YOUR SPONSOR TO LOOK FOR SOMEBODY LIKE MAYOR IN HIS OR HER COMMUNITY TO GET IN TOUCH WITH CIC ON YOUR BEHALF FOR YOU TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON CONCERNING YOUR APPLICATION. THIS IS FAMILY CATEGORY APPLICATION NOT PARENTS STUFF AND IT'S UNUSUAL FOR CIC TO ACT THIS WAY BY KEEPING SILENT.

YOUR CASE IS HEADING TOWARDS 2 YEARS WHICH IS MORE THAN THE NORMAL PROCESSING TIME STATED AND YOU NEED TO ACT BECAUSE IT'S YOUR RIGHT AND YOU DON'T NEED TO GET SCARED OF ANYTHING IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE OKAY WITH CIC.

IF YOU ARE NOT THE SPONSOR, INSTRUCT YOUR SPONSOR TO KEEP CALLING CIC ONCE IN A WEEK EVEN IF THEY DON'T GET THE ANSWER TO WHAT YOU NEED TO HEAR KEEP CALLING THEM AND THEY WILL TAKE NOTE ON YOUR FILE EVERY TIME YOUR SPONSOR CALL.

SOME OF THEM ARE SYMPATHETIC AND SOME ARE NOT AND SINCE YOUR PROCESSING TIME LINE IS MORE THAN STATED TIME YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CALL AND ASK THEM TO SEND A MESSAGE ON YOUR BEHALF TO THE VO HANDLING YOUR PR APPLICATION.

I WISH YOU BEST AND GOOD RESULT BECAUSE FOR REAL YOUR TIMELINE SCARED THE NEW APPLICANT...LOL...WISH YOU MERCY OF GOD.

I guess someone was reading my mind when l was composing the message, yes you need to contact the MP and since you are the sponsor it's easy to keep calling both cic and the vo, the VO are there to listen to you, l called them before and l got response to my call, the lady instructed me to contact them via email after she listen to me and l did email them, l got auto-response and 4 days later l got a message from them telling me what l need to hear, this is the only way to get in touch and seek advice from a lawyer, thank you.

Follow the link Lamour sent to you and I guess you need to travel down to Gambia because there is no option to apply from outside of Gambia or if you know somebody that can help you request for that within Gambia. Can you please update your time line or let us know when you fill your application

Yes they have.
Ifynwam is December applicant. They ought to have informed him of the police report long before now because Police reports are not easy to obtain from some certain countries. They are apparently sloooow.
Another week is gone, the wait continues.

They are very slow! They should have informed me of the police certificate. Anyways,i have my pastor in the Gambia. I have already informed him. But another question is,how can I send my finger print to him,is it advisable to scan and send it or I should mail it? And how do I get the finger print form? Thanks.

That is true, Gambia is not one of the countries you could request the report online. The link shows you just the address in Gambia to have it done.
As MercyofGod mentioned, you will either have to physically be in Gambia or have someone there do it for you. Doesn't seem there is any other workaround unfortunately.
I will suggest you inquire from someone that lives there if possible.
