Hello Fellas,
I received below email for my son's PR application.

What does this mean and do we have to submit RPRF fees, I dont remember if I paid it earlier or do we even have to pay it for dependents.

How much time it takes for passport request after this letter.

medicals are done but they are not yet updated in system

Check the timelines posted by people in this thread. Due to Covid the normal processing times of 7 to 8 months have increased to 12 to 13 months.

As mentioned in the mail to you they have mentioned the following

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) If the Right of Permanent Residence Fee is applicable to your application and you have chosen to defer payment of that fee, you will be contacted to make the payment at a later date.

If you are in doubt then please contact IRCC and find out regarding RPRF.

Thanks for your reply.

just read below in ircc website, looks like rprf fee is not required for dependent children and PR is for my son, so dont think i need to pay..

The RPRF applies to all permanent residence applicants except:

  • dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
  • Protected Persons, including Convention refugees.

Hi all,
A simple question we couriered our dependent child application last week and it was delivered to CPC Sydney as per FedEx tracking. However will I only know from CIC that they received the application months from now when they acknowledge the receipt?

Is there anyway to know if they received the application before AOR other that fedex tracking? Worried if fedex delivered it incorrectly

Thanks!

Hi all. We are sponsoring my husband's daughter. She lives in Angola. Here is our timeline so far on Ecas:
Under Sponsorship it says:
  1. We received your application to sponsor (Name of child) on April 3, 2020.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 4, 2020.
  3. We started processing your application on December 3, 2020.
Under Permenent Residence it say:
1. We received (child's name) application for permanent residence on April 3, 2020.

The letter in the email says my husband was approved as a sponsor and the file was transferred to Pretoria, South Africa.

On GcKey it just generally says in process...it also says no medical required, will ask if anything needed. I see on a lot of people's messages here that their files got transferred to the visa office after medicals were done. Does this mean we don't need her to do the medical (she did one back in 2014 for her dad to be sponsored by me)?

What are my AOR/AOR2 dates, etc? It's confusing.

Hi All,

I hold a PR and recently moved to Canada. I applied for a PR for my 1 year old child whihc was delivered to the IRCC on Oct 05th, basis on the posts from others it seems it will be a long road before i get an AOR and it proceeds further. Since my child has a US passport, we didnt need a visa for him to come over to canada, but I am assuming he can not stay in canada forever without a visa.

1. Do anyone know for how long he can stay in Canada without a Visa, if he has a US passport?
2. What needs to be done for extending his stay in Canada?

Thanks in advance.

We received my step-daughter's biometrics request yesterday (that's great news!). She will need to travel about 3 hours to get to the nearest visa office. Should we wait for the medical request (she will have to go to the city for that, too), or just get the biometrics done as soon as possible?

A side note: the IRCC portal says "DECISION MADE" on the sponsorship portion, but no more detail than that and no letter/email. I suppose we can assume the decision was affirmative if we got the biometrics request?

Hello Experts,

I need a suggestion on Generic Application Form IMM0008. I am sponsoring my 1-year-old child. So on the form, under 'Family Members in this Application', should I just mention as 1 (my child being sponsored),

OR, my wife, my other child, and myself (Total 4)? as there are various places where it said to add ALL Family Members.

And if I choose to add all family members, then I need to add their details on the Dependent (of the Principle Applicant) tab, which is not the case.

Please help.

Thank you.

Once Fedex confirms your package is delivered, you may call up CIC, provide the sponsor-er's UCI and get a confirmation if package is received.
The CIC agent may even tell you the date they received the package.

If you are sponsoring your 1-year old only, you should put number of people on this application as 1.
Other forms where you have to inform about family, you should include all your family members.

I also have received GCMS notes for my daughter recently....

On page 2 under assessment it mentions Medical-Passed-Expired (which expired in Oct 2020)

But the last Note (dated for July 2020) says "Eligibility Passed".

So does ur Notes also mention anything about Eligibility?
