Dependant child family sponsorship

I believe I may have asked this question previously but cant seem to find the thread.

When a father is sponsoring their minor dependent child with no dependents who signs on behalf of that dependent. The father who is sponsoring the child or the mother that the child resides with currently. Keeping in mind they currently share custody as per their court order in family court.

He would sign, as he is sponsoring. The mother would need to give consent.
