Good day everyone,

I'd like to know what documents I'll need to submit for adding a dependent as (i am about getting guardianship documents for my niece who has been living with me although her dad is late while her mother is still alive) to my permanent residency application after already submitting my application.
Would it negatively impact my application at this stage since my application is ongoing. If it would, can I successfully add her when I eventually become a permanent resident?

We received PPR. I sent the documents requested, now waiting for COPR.

No. You don't need any appointment for flagpoling. I know that 1000 island is 24 by 7 but you might want to check hours at Windor and Sarnia crossings.

Visa is not required for flagpoling. You will just go to USA checkpoint and tell them that you want to flagpole to activate your son's PR. They will take your passports, ask you to park in front of CBP office and go inside. Your name will be called and you will be given an administrative refusal. This administrative refusal does not go in CBP records and has no bearing on future US visa applications. Once you have administrative refusal letter you will be asked to make a U-turn to Canadian checkpost.

Thanks. We got our landing appointment for the 25th of July and we landed last week. The officer at the counter said the card will come within 2 to 3 weeks so we are optimistic that it comes before we leave for our vacation. Now i shall go get this OHIP done in the next few days since we have a completed CoPR in our possession. Thanks everyone for your help and guidance here.

Thanks. Turns out there will be no need for the TRV again. My sons PR application got a decision made on ecas on Saturday and a Pre arrival letter on Friday.

I have applied for PR for my kid and got passport request letter today to send it to New Delhi Office. Meanwhile PR was in progress, I applied for visitor visa and my kid is here already. So, can I send the passport to CPC-Ottawa? From the passport letter, it says we can send it but just wanted to confirm if someone already have done this? and what's the timeline in getting visa stamped for PR?

Thats great news and I'm in the same boat. got PPR today. Is your kid is in India or Canada? My kid is in Canada on visitor visa and I'm confused if we can send passport to CPC-Ottawa.
