The detail of My daughter sponsorship application is as follows:

Application received by CIC -4th Jul 2017
AOR received- 9th Aug 2017
Decision Made and Medical request- 1st Sep 2017
Medical Done- 4th Sep 2017

Any idea how much time it will take to get the PPR request from NDVO or any timeline within which they start processing the application.

Dear Seniors,

I am trying to look for some information about child sponsorship. We are currently in PR status who has short landed in June 2017 and leave Canada. We are planning to go back in 2 years time. My wife is expecting to have our second baby in Feb next year. Our first baby is now a PR as she was bornt while we are still finalizing the PR application.

(1) Is it a must for someone with only PR status (not Canadian passport holders) to apply for child sponsorship inland and cannot do it outside Canada? If so, that means we may only be able to apply sponsorship for our second child 2 years later after we permanently move to Canada?

(2) If this is the case, can our second baby stay in Canada with us as a visitor status when we move to Canada 2 years later provided that he has a visa exempted passport? Is that he must leave Canada (maybe go to USA for a in and out trip) every half year?

(3) Can the baby apply for day care in Canada if his status is still a visitor and not yet a PR?

Firstly, congratulations for your PR. I did a short landing myself in 2015 when I did not have a son. My son was born in 2016. I came to Canada in May 2017 and sponsoring him outland.

1. You must be a PR or Citizen before you can sponsor you dependent child. CIC will require one of the parent to be in the country while you are sponsoring the child and the process is carried out.
2. If the baby has a passport from visa exempt country you may be able to bring him/her along and sponsor from inland. But you have to cross the border once in 6 months to avoid overstay.
3. Children will be allowed in day care if you can prove that parents have PR and you are processing her sponsorship. anyways you dont get any govt subsidy for day care except for tax credit which you will not be able to claim unless your child is PR

I have had my medicals done by mid of august, still waiting for DM and PPR.

My timeline as below:

Application received at CPC: June 13 2017
Sponsorship Approval: July 11 2017
NDVO Transfer:Jul 25 2017
Medical request: Aug 2 2017
Medicals Done: Aug 7 2017
Waiting for DM & PPR.

In my opinion it will take 1-3 months from medicals.

Guys anyone in this thread who have submitted outland sponsorship application in June 2017 and currently file at NDVO? NDVO is really slow in my case for approving my file after medicals. I have been following other threads and seems they are busy approving spousal applications. Waiting ......

Why? Could not you apply for a baby's stay extension (the same story as with a spouse on a visitor visa who applied for PR inland) ?

,received on 17th Jul
Mail to sponsor on 27 Aug
Mail to PA: 29 Aug
Could'nt link with GC Key ,fail attempts
PA got medical request: 6 Sep

what next ? can someone guide

So it seems
I applied for my son June 2017. Medicals were done on 6th August. Waiting now. Not sure if app has gone to NDVO. No intimation from Mississauga or Delhi.

Yes, u can apply for baby's extension from inland. And if approved no border crossing business. Subject to extension.

Did you get a mail from NDVO about file transfer ?

I got an email from cic after my Sponsorship approval that my file has been transferred to NDVO. Even without me submitting a Schedule A. I later sent schedule A by webform just to make sure NDVO does not come back last minute for the form and Friday. Till date I have not received the request for Schedule A

Once you complete medical test , you ecas status will be changed to medical test received. If you have already sent your schedule A, your file will be in Delhi office( you would have been notified on email on this) After which the only thing left is decision made for PA and Passport request.

So, yesterday (September 6th) I got an email saying I'm approved to Sponsor my PA. And that the PA will get a mail/update about Schd A form.
How long does it take from Sponsorship Approval to Schd A request ?
