I know..it sucks....unfortunately , we r not in the lucky ones, or average ones.....

:) NOW, we ALL (u, me, arsh, zeeshan, mian g etc etc) r now in the "LATE/slow luck" category :) now just pray, we all get it finally, WHENEVER it comes...

I was saying to zeeshan yesterday on phone, that emmoo, mian g, and all OCT 2012 UDR people must be very frustrated on not getting MR by now....really dumb, "first in/first out" not applied....the only rule in this process is "there is no rule" :) ......its all "tukka/kismat" when your turns comes.....

P.s: and guys plz do not pay attention to rubbish about cases well represented have been sent to paris and london cases r doubtful :) ...such crap was also said when we got wait letter, that cases which not very good have been given wait letter.....aisa kuch nahi hai...sub bukwaas hai, don't pay attention to such crap.
Inshallah , we all will get through, eventually...

Kher, personally have kept OCT 2013 for MR and APR 2013 for visa in mind....let's see....

Back to "sleep mode" again, as there is nothing to update :) cheers.

Agreed it is all about luck and tukka :(

Dear Seniors,

Need your advice. All my funds are in fixed deposit schemes (DSC's, SSC's etc) and I don't keep much cash in my account as I am not sure when I will be contacted by LVO to provide POF.

Now, my question is whether for POF one needs to show cash balance or these certificates which are infact cash will suffice.

As usual, your feedback/comments/advice will be highly appreciated.

Thanks & regards,

Asim

These certificates will definitely work. I myself have used them as POF. No issues.

Also the problem is that visa offices do not seems to have systematic check / follow up on BG chk request sent to other parties. By luck if someones response is received earlier his file will move or else he has to wait for years or ages to get some light. We have very dangerous examples of Drooza, shaziabibi, KhiPak on this forum who have been waiting long for BG checks to be cleared. Really pissed off with this whole waiting and unsystematic procedure........... >:(

And waiting for some MAIN activity to happen, and then we ll report/update that....meanwhile, forum is in good hands ;) hum ab retire ho chukay hein....:) now fresh blood should/has taken over... I ll just report when there is some IMPortant update to give...like MR/PPR/visa... :)

I ll be around...incase some one addresses me specifically ;). Otherwise, there is no need for the "3year theory boy", since lots of people r active and r doin a good job... :) later guys !!

P.s: @ emmoo: bro, inshallah, I'm hoping u (and other OCT 2012 UDR people) will get some good news soon.....once u guys get MR, we "18 month walay" can be next in line for MR......Allah behtar kare ga inshaAllah...tc.

Thanks guys.....wish you all the best

I haven been following this thread for quite some times. I appreciate senior's efforts and other's contribution for an overall enlightenment on immigration issues. I am also an 18 month wait letter holder. Wanted to ask some questions that comes across my mind.

1. Is this a theory that visa are given according to NOC basis ?
2. What should i order if i wnt to CAIPS or GCMS ?

Expert advice will be appreciated?

Dear Naadia

I and you are in same boat , with same NOC and time lines. LVO has no specific rules , they seems to be working widely.

Visas and files are processed on first come first serve basis , so called principal that they follow.
Drop them CSI , they will respond.

Kind Regards

thx mikenz......

I would like to answer your two concerns based on the best of my knowledge :

1) There are no established rules or theories on what basis, how and when Visa Office proceeds with each application. It can sometimes process your file in no time, as well as it can also put your file on hold for ages. Even if all parameters of two applications are exactly the same, the processing times vary. However, based on some pattern or trend we observe from the active members of this forum as well as a few others in processing their applications, when read along with the ever increasing processing times displayed in CIC website; we have had some hypothesis proposed by some senior members of this thread...Otherwise it remains a mystery to us and a secret within CIC...Unfortunately it is no first come - first serve basis based on my experience.

2) What Are 'CAIPS', 'FOSS' and 'GCMS' Files?

CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system historically used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada), other than new applications at offices which have switched to using the 'GCMS' system.

FOSS is the computer system historically used by CIC offices in Canada to track all immigration-related information, but like the CAIPS system is being superceded by GCMS.

GCMS is short for 'Global Case Management System', and is a newer computer system that CIC are rolling out across their offices.

Source: www.caips.ca

IMM 5744 is the form used to request these documents. You will get only one of these whether you apply for CAIPS or GCMS; based on which system is processing your file.

Hope it helps.

i completed med in march2013 and on my enq got this reply please comments seniors

"please be advised that ur file remains under review"

whn i shd expect ppr

Thank you ASK and msaeed for your generous time and reply. I need to ask how do we get to know that our files are transferred to those updated system or not. did they give any sort of indication. I have applied for CAIPS and got one last year. Does it mean my files is processing by CAIPS?

By which system your file is being processing has no direct influence on the outcome. And I have not so far come across someones file processing system changing from CAIPS to GCMS. Anyone with such an experience, please share.

On a lighter note, I think a good chunk of files pre-2010 applicants are handled by CAIPS. It seems to be less user friendly for the officers and as a result they tend to work more on GCMS applicants. This is NOT based on any facts or evidence, but just a casual thought!!!
