These certificates will definitely work. I myself have used them as POF. No issues.

But if i don't or show little cash in my bank and show them certificates instead, will it be accepted or they only want to see cash in your bank account.

Only certificates are accepted.....don't worry

By which system your file is being processing has no direct influence on the outcome. And I have not so far come across someones file processing system changing from CAIPS to GCMS. Anyone with such an experience, please share.

On a lighter note, I think a good chunk of files pre-2010 applicants are handled by CAIPS. It seems to be less user friendly for the officers and as a result they tend to work more on GCMS applicants. This is NOT based on any facts or evidence, but just a casual thought!!!

My own application back in 2007 was transferred from CAIPS to GCMS. GCMS was a newly introduced software then. My family member's application was transferred over to GCMS too from CAIPS in 2010. It is just that there is a note that file transferred from CAIPS to GCMS. Sometimes they issue a new file number too due to the same reason.

Dear Friends,

My daughter's passport will expire on July 19 2013. Please see my timeline below. I am expecting PPR in June 2013. When is the proper time to renew my daughter's passport?

I am hesitant to renew it now, due to the possibility that LVO might ask for refilling of forms(thus further delays), and these days it takes 40 processing days to renew the urgent passport in Pakistan.

Please advise.

In my honest opinion, you should renew your daughter's passport immediately. If you don't, the visas issued to you and family will be valid only up to July 19, 2013, that is IF you get your PPR any time within next one week or two. Optimistically, it might take approximately one month for your passports to be sent and returned to you by the LVO after visa stamping (considering PPR1 and PPR2 stages). This will leave you with hardly any time to make travel plans with your whole family to save your visa.

Even in case you are planning to just visit for one or two days and come back only to complete the landing process; you are putting many things at a risk with an about to expire passport. I understand your eagerness to complete the process. If you renew the passport, you can travel conveniently at leisure since you will have time till April 2014 to do so. You may even plan to make a one time trip to settle down in your dream land.

If you give the passport for renewal and in the mean time you get your PPR, you can write a mail to the VO about the renewal of passport owing to expiry, requesting for a few days extension to submit the new passport details. In case you get your new passport before PPR, you can update them with the details of your daughter's cancelled as well as new passport details. This should not cause further delay in your application at this stage.

This is my personal opinion. You are the best judge of your own situation.

Hope it helps.

Hi Guys,

I am one of the 18 months wait letter holders, received the P103 letter on 26 February 2013 and sent the required docs on 28 February 2013. Today I received my recent Caips note and according to the notes of the Caips, they received my docs on 01 March 2013 and the docs were PA'd to file on 15 March 2013. And my file is BF'd to BZ2 on 12 August 2013.

Earlier I saw in the thread that some other applicants also saw their BF'd were around August 2013 according to their recent Caips notes. I think they are working on our (18 months wait letter holders) files as a batch who received the same P103 file within a time period of 30-60 days and we will all receive the next communication (which could be medicals and others) again in a batch within a time period of 30-60 days. One more thing to be noted, my last BF'd was on 15 March 2013 and I got their P103 letter on 26 February 2013. So I hope that we might receive the Medical request and other requests by July 2013. Lets hope for the earliest.

I got an email from LVO that my passports have left there office on Wednesday and the Aramex tracking number. But on entering the tracking number it says- invalid number / data not available.
I called Aramex n they said to wait till Saturday. Any concerns??

@ Moner Manush

Our timelines are almost the same. I received UDR+18 on 25-Feb-2103 (Your 26-Feb-2013) and eventually we've the same BF'D 12-08-2013. As per my latest CAIPS following information is given:

Paper file sent to PA, File BF'D to: BZ2 on 12-08-2013 Microlocator

I'm almost sure now, the next batch will be started from the end of June or Max by mid July and this batch will be for Medicals call (Insha'Allah).

Now adays Passport office renew the passports same day for further 5 years by endorsing them which is legal and accepted by all the countries. You also have another option to apply 100 pages passport with urgent fee and get the passport within 10 days.

Is there any way we can confirm that our files are being processed by which system ?

Only solution is to apply for new CAIPS notes. If you got the file with 9 - to - 10 pages then it's being lie in CAIPS system but if you got more than 20 - to 30 pages then it's mean your files has been migrated to the new system (GCSM)
