Need your guidance about processing of my case. I got file number on 13 sept 2010 (with 12 months processing time). E-case status is just one line " We started processing your application on 13 Sept 2010" and same status todate.

I got 6-12 months letter on 17th May 2012. And today I got email from High Commission of Canada (London, UK) after sending updates regarding new baby ( 1 week back). Now they need these documents and informed (mentioned below) to wait 18 more months.....


"1. New Application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form for the principal applicant.

2. Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669]

3. Supplementary Information - Your travels [IMM 5562]

4. New Additional Family Information Form IMM5406 for yourself and each family member over the age of 18.

5. Copy of passport title page for each applicant. If any of your dependants are included in a parent's passport, please ensure that you apply for an individual passport for each person. Please note that each person will require their own passport at the time of visa issuance.

6. Completed Military Questionnaire (attached), for each applicant who has completed more than mandatory military service. For all applicants with any military service, please provide a copy of the Military Card or Military Exemption Card.

IMPORTANT

At this time, we do not expect to make a final decision on your application until 2014. Please do not make case status enquiries for the next 18 months, as our resources are devoted to case processing and we will not be able to answer routine enquiries."


So I don't have any idea what they want to do , again wait for 18 months more after my almost completion of 12 months letter ???

Thanks for replying. Another 4131 applicant who applied in apr 2010 got his mr today,dont know why this discrimination? Can it be because of the request to update passport info. Doesnt seem to be.

Now have received an email /letter which they Name P103 from CIC london for ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS .

I Have also ordered CAIPS in august which says the BZZ is 16 March 1013

Further is there will be another updated documents request in which they will ask for PC and RPRF and then MR

Still that BZZ 16 March 2013 is not cleared

I have created a new column (18 months wait letter received - Yes/No) with the request of incomplete updated documents to see if all in our list are unlucky applicants or not....
normally our dreams were max 2013 or 2014 but now please do not waste further time in, getting married /divorce , having more children , changing address , switching job ???, or any other legal action :....and holding your money in Pakistani rupees :-\...
Keep Minimum required money in your account in CAD$ or US$ and rest of money enjoy your every day....
and cry for 1 hour minimum for expecting to get visa in 2013.... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
so your all stress will flow out
Please start a new life and think that this Canada is a lottery where you have a chance may be yes/may be no....
when somehting real will hppen and you have your visa in hand then you can turn your life into another stream...

AOA & Good evening,

ANALYSIS ON MY 2 GCMS END OF AUG 2012 AND START OF FEB 2013

UPDATED DATE IS CHANGED TO 15/12/2012 FROM 27/04/2012 which means some activity happened.

1. I noticed that under Eligibility Assessment a new line has been added which says: Version 2010-06
2. I noticed that under Medical (IME) #: XXXXX a new line has been added which says: Reason for Closure: IME – Pre-12/2012

All other GCMS is same and now my questions:
1. What is IME?
2. Anybody has similar GCMS then please let me know before/after any time and what is his/her current status?
3. So I can figure out may be I am the lucky one who will receive MR or 18 months bad news!!!

Please check your GCMS and share here so may be this can give us clue….
Especially who already got 18 months email…JAMY/others….please check your GCMS

Now in last I will request to all to apply for GCMS so we can share this kind of details….and will try to understand what is going on with us….

Disappointing news another waiting journey will start for us :'( That's really unfair

This is very very bad news. Who knows what happens after 18 months. Looking at previous record of CIC, I am not optimistic. The whole process is shambolic. When I applied it was 12-14 months, now it is almost 3 years and more. It is total discrimination as they are giving visas to other nationalties and visa offices.

Yes if you see NDVO they are getting Visas in less than 3 years from the date of 1st Application,
Only Allah knows why it is heppining but in March/April we will have more closer look for most of us....
Lets see how many of us will get the 18 months email....

What is the surety LVO wil not send another 24 months wait letter after completing this 18 months. Its totaly disappointing and bad news. At the time of lodging of application, it was promised that application will be finilized within 24 months. Its 44 months gone but still wait and wait. I think we all should go for alternate options if we have.

Hi, This is to all of my friends from Pakistan in this thread. Well, as far as your case and its processing is concerned, i will not comment on it because i am not aware of the details but what i suggest to all is whoever receives the updated docs request must act like a "Superman" and send the requested docs as soon as possible because of our country's situation. First we have the problem of electricity and then comes the law and order, strikes, dharnaas, long marches etc etc which may result in the refusal of your case because if you wait for the last days to send the documents and any such thing happens you know what will be the result. The Canadian High Commission will not accept your excuse that i was unable to do all the things timely because of my city/country's situation. We are also close the elections so the situation will be more riskier in those days so i would advise every brother and sister that start working with full speed and energy from the day you receive the doc or MR requests. This is more applicable to the applicants from Karachi.

IME is Immigration Medical Examination, and I assume that you got the number there. Rest is all ok.

Could it be that we re over analyzing all this? Is this ACTUALLY bad or it just SEEMS bad?

Even though I'm hating this 18 month bukwaas lettter, yet, I still feel this is NOT a wait letter...coz a wait letter ONLY has instructions to WAIT (nothing is ever asked in it, like 2nd AOR-6/12)......this is simply an 'updated docs request' which is standard procedure of LVO and which we were all waiting for.......only difference is, in the end, the "do not send us uncessary CSI" time has been increased from 4 months to 18 months...I know its a big leap....but it will work for VO' sbenefit, as they will NOT be bothered as much.... since we all know, that everyone sends them CSI as a soon as a dead line is achieved..whether is 6 or 12 months or BFD.

Also, For the first time EVER, the update docs request also has passport copies request in it (may be its a good sign, may be it eliminate PPR-1)

May be this is just the "new, generic, format of updates docs request" that LVO is sending out to people who haven't already gotten update request....I also expect to see this same letter on british forum soon....only thing to be seen is that will there by ANYONE who directly gets medical and does not get this 18 month letter!!! we ll find out soon.

And u never know....people who r sending updated docs , COULD hear medical in the next 4-6 months....I know this seems like a wishful thinking abhi, as there are a lot of 'COULD HAPPENS/MAY BE' here, but just trying to find something positive, in all this mad/ridiculous letter...any comments?
