Well honestly speaking after looking at the inventory numbers I noted that only
7% of the cases from MI1 are finalized during the third quarter of 2012. The inventory backlog (persons) of all skilled workers (MI1, MI2, and MI3) still stands at
105,188 persons whereas the total quota (2013 Plan Admissions Ranges) for this class is
55,300. So even if we ignore the new set of MI starting this year (which will definitely have a priority over the existing backlog), they will at least need another two years to process all of the standing backlog. So for some of us, we might have to wait till the end of 2014, whereas some others (especially the ones with application to CIO during 2009) will be getting their visas sometime soon.
