I am glad to say that I finally received PPR after 14 month of patience. I would advise everyone to order their notes regularly to check, don't lose hope. I wish you guys all the best
Congrats! Please share your stream and timeline.

Just called IRCC and a nice lady told me that my application is still pending the results of security check. The request was sent in March.

Good luck to us all!
same here :P

congrats! did you apply for gcms notes previously?

Hi, I have to extend my work permit while waiting for my PR. I am CEC inland. I don't know what to answer for this two question?

Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?
Have you submitted a permanent resident application in Canada?

It also ask me if I have LMIA, when I answer no, it said I need to apply for LMIA to be eligible to extend my work permit, any help?

Thanks

I just received a mail from CSIS. They received request for security screening for my husband on Sept 29, 2016 and sent advice on Sept. 30, 2016.
They haven't receive request for me, I'm principal applicant. they recommend to redirect my request to CBSA or IRCC.

This is insane. Totally missing out on the responsibility entrusted to them. I know they have lots of cases to look at, but this is basic. They can check the status of an applicant by putting self reminders for such 6 months + candidates and do followups. Compare the feelings of people who get PPR within 3-4 months to those who are stuck for more than 6-12 months and for no reason at all. :(

I think you could raise a CSE with the CSIS reply attached to challenge IRCC. Good luck.

Hey guys .. have you all registered urself under below immigration tracking website? With your data inside, it will really help to provide realsitic estimates to new comers and help us to track the progress as well in a consolidated view.

https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers

You can use same website to order GCMS notes as well. Its easy to register and track others status too.

Thank you.

Beat this:

12 months and 12days :D:D:D

This is tragic! Waiting over a year while others get it in 3 months. Totally unfair. Today is my 8 month mark, not long before I catch up to you.

I've hear that it's possible to write CSIS a letter to inquire about the status of your application (https://www.csis-scrs.gc.ca/scrtscrnng/index-en.php), do you know of any other way to get an update about SS, because I am not inland and hence I am unable to write and send said letter.

got pr after 19 months

Congratulations to both of you. I wish you both all the very best in all your future endeavors.

Congratulations. Definitely a long waiting journey. Can you share your timeline and your stream, please? when did you start your SS?

PNP Outland
AOR :10 May 2016
Background in progress : August 2016
Passport renewal request : 7 April 2017
PPR: 10/7/2017

Yup, 4 times. it's useful to see the notes by the officer concerning the case. if everything is good, then relax,as it's just a matter of time for PPR
if you do not have any problem could you please inform what was the group of mentioned in the first page of your gcms notes?

Category: PNP (Newfoundland) from within Canada.
As of today I am in the 10th month (after AOR on 12 October 2016).
Security screening started on 25 January (5,5 months).

Transparency and accountability of Canada federal immigration bureaucracy is zero!

The timeline for processing your application after SS is 8-18 Months with an average processing time of 12-14 Months for the whole application if you are lucky. However there were cases of quicker and slower processing time.

Your SS is most probably stuck with CBSA as it takes only 1 day for CSIS to process SS and then your SS information is redirected to CBSA. IRCC point of contact for SS is CBSA which gives it's point of view to IRCC after receiving information from CSIS and other partners.

You can try access your CBSA information through ATIP under Privacy Act if your inland and Information Act if you are outland. Use the following link to do an online request and select CBSA as the department.
