I have been reading up this forum for the past couple of months. Finally, decided to be part of the community.

My application is now over 8 months. I contacted CIC and the call centre rep told me that they have no access to info on EE applicants and that the London Visa office is handling my case. Furthermore, there was absolutely nothing they could do for me, note even raise a query.

Does anyone have contact info for the london visa office?

Hi, don't believe everything call center agents say :D
Unfortunately too many of them have zero idea and are very incompetent. Same happened to me today :)
I called CIC (for like 10th time in 3 months) and a guy picked up and said very seriously that all applications submitted from outside Canada are processed in local visa offices and that I should contact my local visa office because they have no access, bla bla bla.

This sounded ridiculous, cause I knew my app was in Ottawa directly from Ottawa office. And so I hung up and called back immediately. Another call center agent, this time a lady, very courteously answered all my questions, said that everything on file is okay and it's still under review, asked me to wait more.

So, to cut long story short. just CALL BACK again :D until a competent agent answers.

Is there anything we can do? It's 9 months for me today, and my Background Check remains 'Not Started'.
I heard someone saying that we need to send complaints via CIC's web feedback form:

Would this work if enough people complain about the inefficiency? Of course, the complication is that we are being processed at different VO's. Mine is the now infamous SGVO (Singapore visa office).

Need help!!! My AOR is 22nd Nov, 2015. My medicals status went from passed to Not needed 2-3 weeks ago. My case was delayed due to wrong assignment of VO. I had sent a very polite email to NDVO and IRCC to extend the medicals validity as they are due to expire on 13th Nov. Yesterday, the medicals status has changed to review in progress and I have messages in my account to provide new medical results.

Question is, should I wait for a couple of days to see if they extend the validity or provide new results as requested?

I think if they have made request to do it again then u have to do it again. Extention is done automatically and in that case they don't send message to do it again. Mine got extended without any message

They only extend medicals for people based in US & CANADA and otherwise if your app is finalized and they want to send your PPR ...now since you have received the new medical request ...no point in waiting ..just submit the new medicals and don't waste time in waiting for their reply.

Could be as my BG is in progress from last month...hope it is the case...thanks..

I agree with this. You will have to redo medicals. I tried to change their minds after receiving a request also, but they still made me do new medicals. So just go ahead and do it.
