Exactly. This workload re-distribution doesn't seem to be working that well. I hope they finally pick up your file and process it super fast.

Thanks. You've been waiting even longer than me! Hope you hear something positive soon.

I am trying to mentally give them time till end of the year. I really hope they process it by then so that I can enter in 2017 at least.

There is nothing out of the ordinary in my file. I have lived in Canada for almost 8 years and have got many visas, work permits and study permit. The GCMS notes shows that 9-10 months after the original BG check was requested and didn't come back with a result, it was cancelled and they requested a new one in April 2016, nearly a year after I submitted my application. I can't see the details of this in the GCMS notes because it is redacted but it seems like some bureaucratic glitch happened with my original BG check which caused it to never conclude and they canceled that and requested a new one which is still in progress. I'm hoping that they expedite this one to make up for the lost time in the original one.

It is extremely frustrating to have this expectation of immigrating in half a year and then just barely living, just waiting for it to happen. I told that to an agent on the phone and then got a whole lesson on the seriousness of immigration and how it needs to be done properly...

BTW, I had sent an email to the Prime Minister office and explaining the situation I am experiencing, they replied and said we cannot interfere with any immigration application, but we forward your email to the Minister.

You know what? I had sent two emails and a fax to the minister of the immigration and not get any reply. So, I know he doesn't care.

I believe that we all passed all the requirements (eligibility, medical, criminality). Do you know anyone getting her/his application rejected after 8-9 months?

When you called the CIC-Helpline what do they say? At least one of the agents (after 4 times I tried) told me that it's being reviewed since there is another applicant with similar name...

Just to let you know that I am still waiting for PPR. Its 7 months, 15 days.

Man, why don't you try that technique of sending an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca with the word "URGENT" and your file number in the subject line. Include your full name, date of birth, UCI no. (if applicable) and category (like PNP) and ask them how come you are still waiting, especially since you saw in your GCMS notes that your case is approved!

This technique worked for at least 2 people posting here and they were told that the PPR was already sent a month ago!! I'm sure they are going to tell you that your PPR was also already sent. Then you can tell them to resend it.

Hello,

I recieved my GCMS notes today and in Note 1 it was mentioned A11.2 MET - What does this mean? Is this a good sign? Is there any chance. of rejection after this?

Where can I check if my Eligibility is Passed/Met?

My Security section deadline shows 14 Feb 2017? That's one year ahead of my AOR. Does that mean I will not get PPR till that time?

I'm one of those two people :), the other one is adin.blr. Come on, send them that email fast, you gotta get the RFV email soon afterwards. Good luck!!

So many frustrating stories in this thread.

It seems to me that August-November batches are the only ones that are somehow stuck and are experiencing these issues. Don't see anyone from December yet, but it might be too early.

Peeps, today I was trying to find more info on the security screening and was googling it, and I came across these older forums from 2005 and 2010. People on there have been waiting for their security to be done for years. Not a year, yearS. One guy was literally waiting for 8 years just for a security check! Can you imagine? That really put it in perspective for me. Couple months is not that bad actually. However, I do hope those days are gone and our cases will be much much faster.

In 2005 -2010 CIC processing time is averaged to 173 months.

Yeah, I understand that. I was talking about security check only. This was on top of the regular long CIC processing.

What?? That's 14 years! Surely, that can't be right?

I suppose there is a chance of refusal in case you got some ghosts in your closet which get revealed during the security check, but I am pretty sure all of us would know that something like that would come up, and we would have gotten an immigration lawyer to represent us, instead of doing our own applications. So, if you're certain there is nothing adverse against you, chances of refusal are slim, in my opinion.

I have send them URGENT mail even but still NDVO is sleeping !
no news from NDVO
