Well, I have a friend who submitted his application 3 weeks after me, and I knew that we supposed to be almost on a same timeline.
However, he got the PPR email, 1.5 months ago.
I called CIC 3 time after that:
- First time, I was told that they cannot provide me with any updates until September!
- Second time, I was told that the application is still under security screening (I already knew it from my GCMS notes).
- Third (last) time, it was 3 weeks ago. The agent somehow told me this might be the reason of similarity of my name with people having BG issue. She suggested me to send an email to CPC-Ottawa and explain the situation. So, I prepared a long email with all the Police Certificates I have since 5 years ago. I also sent them my study permits, student visa, Post Graduate Work Permit, and everything that could help them to dig into my BG.
I also had touched base with a MP, and people in his office was following up my application (saw a note on the second GCMS note).
That's all!
I tried not to think about it, and finally got it!
BTW, do not forget that "it's always darkest just before the dawn".
