An MP is your Member of Parliament. They work to represent the people living in their constituency in parliament. I've contacted my MP when my first application was cancelled and she was super helpful. However if you are outland then no matter which MP you contact they are not your Member of Parliament and (just my personal opinion) I can't imagine they would be bothered to help.

There is no grantee a MP contact CIC on behalf of you. In my case my own MP didn't reply even after me sending two emails to him with all the information. So in the end I had to wait till CIC get back to me. I've been there so I totally understand your frustration but I don't think asking a complete stranger, who don't have any obligation to you, to look at your file is a good idea.

Thanks bro :)

It's not completely true. I have multiple friends who contacted MPs in the past about delays in PR applications and in general, they are helpful.

EDIT: All inland applicants though (student, worker , etc)

While the OP is outland. So still No.

what's your applications category of the first one and ee?
when did you get your ainp?
I think we have something pretty much the same... :(

Hmm, actually CIC agent should've sent note to the officer about your case (if it's more then 6 months of processing). It's strange that they refuse to do it.

Hi All,

i had crossed the six months mark in mid January.

Called CIC and and the call centre agent left a note for the immigration office and asked me to keep checking online and was advised to wait for another 3 months.

Simultaneously i had reached out to local MP and have submitted the inquiry form at their office. There i was advised to wait for a week. So i am going to follow up with them next week to see how things play out.

My timeline is:
2015 June - Received invite for EE FSWP
2015 July - Submitted Application and received AOR same day
No update since then.

So lets hope for the best.

Kind regards,
Farmboy

Hi Farmboy,

I have try to contact cic lots of times.
However, their response is useless.
So far all we can do is keep waiting.
I believe all of us will turn out a bright result!
by the way, I am almost waiting for 1 year after AOR.
good luck!

As long as you have applied for PR before the expiry of your AINP, you are fine and you do not need to renew it.

got a ghost email today and my medical change to not need at this time from passed????
