Dont give up, even I was told the same by one agent and another agent told me a different thing. May be try talking to different agents.Tocanadawego said:I called IRCC again last night. No good news. Everything is passed for my husband, but security pending for me since early March. No definitive end in sight. It could be a day or a year. The agent was like: what's the rush? Ummm, my life is in a standstill, that's the rush.
So just disappointed by this long wait, by the whole process, and lost all hope that I'll be able to move in August like I planned.
Maybe I should have gone for Australia instead...
Same here. We want to have our second child and have now postponed it since last year. We are in our mid 30s.Tocanadawego said:I understand you both. My husband and I want to have a baby, but now we just have to wait and wait, and we are not getting any younger
Musikwala, I agree with you on Australia. Those are exact reasons we opted for Canada instead, but now I am doubting whether that was the right decision for us. So much frustration and too much time to think and wonder.
Wow that's interesting. Maybe we need to be even more persistent and really bug the hell out of them. At least I know my file is at Pretoria, so I know WHO to bug.r_mittal86 said:Guys, I understand your situation even I was in the same few days back. I have been mentioning that you can reach CIC using Express entry option number 7. There are few agents those who are really helpful.
Just to protect their identity I will not specify name here, more than happy to reply in pm.
Let me spill out the secret, I have been talking to CIC every single day....yes EVERY SINGLE DAY (even twice on some days, there is one agent who now knows my case...I spoke to her so many times). Few agents were like its in progress and shooed me off but few were very helpful.
The way I have chased up my application I am sure many of us would be scared but I believe its our right to know about decision pertaining to our life.
Don't give up hopes, just keep urself up against this tough time and it will surrender to you.
For my application, I have submitted my passports today via VFS.
Thanks chiyakam.chiyakam said:@tocanadawego, @musikwala, @miltoncsekuet & @DreamCanada16: I understand your situation very well, I know what you guys are going through right now. I hope and pray that you guys get your PPRs soon, in the meanwhile I'd be here to cheer for you, hoping that the good news comes soon for you!

Thanks for encouragement. The agent was pretty clear that security is underway and it's out of their hands. I just don't know what i could possibly ask again. What did you ask them every time you called?r_mittal86 said:Dont give up, even I was told the same by one agent and another agent told me a different thing. May be try talking to different agents.
Use Gmail to make calls (its free), I used it and called them everyday
Chiyakam ..bro ..you forgot my name ...the smilies on my post doesn't mean that I am happy ...I am in the same boat ...life stuck up ..have to plan kids ..bla bla ..looks like this one decision has halted everything in my life...chiyakam said:@tocanadawego, @musikwala, @miltoncsekuet & @DreamCanada16: I understand your situation very well, I know what you guys are going through right now. If it wasn't that expensive, I would've definitely gone for Australia right now.Musikwala said:Same here. We want to have our second child and have now postponed it since last year. We are in our mid 30s.
As for Australia we actually have it as a backup, because we wanted to make sure that we somehow got out of South Africa. We got the Oz PR in Dec 2015. It took only 3 months after application submission. And they were more transparent whenever we called them. From our experience, government processes there have fewer bureaucratic hurdles and they make their decisions more efficiently. During our wait, several applicants got their PR in barely one or two months... some got in 10 to 12 days! Believe it or not!! Our 3 month wait felt like forever at the time.
And honestly, personally speaking... if my wife, daughter and I do end up going to Australia, we will go there knowing that there are certain disadvantages. It would still be heaven compared to this useless place we are living in right now. If you have some money to invest in a backup option, I urge you to apply to Australia as well. You never know, you may even get it sooner than Canada! Just something to think about.
My hopes are now dieing :'( :'( :'( as suggested by RMittal i called CIC and chose #7 option. I had just 2 minutes wait and agent checked my application and said its still in process and u might hear from today to by end of this year :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(taekwondo said:Chiyakam ..bro ..you forgot my name ...the smilies on my post doesn't mean that I am happy ...I am in the same boat ...life stuck up ..have to plan kids ..bla bla ..looks like this one decision has halted everything in my life...
Nothing is working in my case as well ..GCMS, Call, URGENT Mail , CSE ...only the continuous success stories like you, r_mittal86, yelena, bellaluna give me ray of hope .
Just keeping my fingers crossed for getting that golden mail :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Your notes seem to be precisely the same as mine. All is passed and waiting on security to finalize. If all the agent notes are OK, i don't think you need to be very concerned. You already passed eligibility so all your documents are fine. As long as security comes back clear, you should be fine.taekwondo said:Btw ...guys ..I have posted my GCMS summary on page 82 ...just let me know if I have missed any major section for interpretation ...as suggested by Amal ..I have mailed the same to Legalfalcon for his expert comments ...however any advice in this regard absed on your experience is highly appreciated.
I am speechless ...to hell with them ....year ending means 16 months for me ...nooooooooooooooDreamCanada16 said:My hopes are now dieing :'( :'( :'( as suggested by RMittal i called CIC and chose #7 option. It seems a never ending wait for me
Yup ...I do have big exposure to Government Projects as a Consultant ....but not as an employee to warrant such long security check !!Tocanadawego said:Your notes seem to be precisely the same as mine. Did you have government work experience? Maybe that's why security is taking long.
Don't be sad. Try again now and catch another agent , ask same question.DreamCanada16 said:My hopes are now dieing :'( :'( :'( as suggested by RMittal i called CIC and chose #7 option.
