Hey guys! I want to know something. Those of you waiting for 6 months and longer, do you have anything in your applications that you would think is time-consuming to verify? For example: work experience in a number of different countries, history of residence in a politically troubled country or region, any kind of relatively minor offenses in criminal record etc. I'm trying to make sense of why some people are waiting longer than 6 months and some are getting PPR in as little as 2 to 3 months.

if its advo can you please add me on? or give me the admins number so that i can send my number to get added ont he group
I've been silent because I've got nothing to share really.. most new questions have been answered before and the wait has pretty much demotivated me. I'm trying to take it one day at a time. To answer your question.. yeah.. there is a whatsapp group for ADVO.. send me your number in a pm and I'll have you added.
P.S. I love how you're so expectant even after all this while..keep up!

There can be factors that may delay the application processing, but in most cases the applications are not picked and worked on. Issues such as security, travel history, country of origin may delay the application because security is done by external agencies, but in most cases the applications are delayed even before the background checks start.

As per my analysis, if you application is left out of the batch, then it gets delayed. This could be due to a missing document, or an issue in reviewing eligibility.

All this is speculation. What happens inside CIC, remains there. The only way to figure out why an application is delayed is by ordering GCMS notes. But simply forgetting to process applications is the biggest reason why the delays happen.

Thanks for the reply.

How can they simply forget to process applications?? That just sounds so... disorganized and inefficient... for their own process completion standards.

I have been wondering about it for a long time too and many others stuck beyond 6 months.

My friend's file was rejected after 7.5 months stating NOC is not correct.
I doubt that because eligibility is completed within the first 5 months unless there is some issue with the application. This is the first time I have heard of an application being rejected after 6 months.

true in most cases, but some applications allways fall out of the normal processing. My eligibility is still under review after 8 and a half months.

I have a fair chance of beeing rejected even now, since they are arguing that switching my familly from non accomapnying to accompanying, post AOR, coused me to lose points and that because of this I am not eligeble any more.

I had never thought that I would have to join this thread. But here I am. :(
Anyway, I crossed the 6 months mark today. So my wife, the principal applicant, talked to an agent on CIC helpline just now. The agent told us that there is large a volume of application right now and that we should wait till December 2016. If we don't hear anything till December 2016 we should call them again. Seriously, what's happening? December 2016 means the processing time is 14 months not 6 months. Now the hopeless wait starts. :( :( :(

Hi,

You shouldn't be disheartened. I think it's CIC's way of telling you to stop calling since there is not much info available to them anyway. Maybe you can order GCMS notes, there have been a lot of instances where its helped the application to move along.
