Things to consider before activating PR

Hi,

I have recently gotten the PR and I am planning to land in Canada soon to activate my PR. I will be there for 3 weeks and get back to my current country and apply for Canadian jobs from here.
- If I open a bank account in Canada during those 3 weeks and decide to move to Canada after two years, will I be taxed on the 2 years of income outside Canada?
- Could I carry more than 10K CAD during my landing and declare it for it to be tax free?
- During my subsequent visits will I be able to carry over 10K CAD tax free until I move to Canada and start earning in Canada?
- What tips should I consider before landing in Canada? What documents do I need to have in addition to landing papers?


- I have a sibling who has a diploma (2 year Canadian degree) and 1 year experience in one of the NOCs. What options do I have to process him so that he gets the PR? As of now he has 363 points which is way below the threshold and we have contacted Ontario province and they say that a bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement.

You can carry as much CAD as you want. But whenever it is 10K CAD or more than that, you'll have to declare that.
As per docs, you COPR, passport (obviously) and all other documents you submitted online during your process (in originals) in lncluding POF are recommended. Visa officer hardly asks for any document except COPR & passport but it is better safe than sorry.

For your sibling, better go for PNP

I have actually enquired with the Ontario province for the PNP program for my sibling but they said the minimum has to be bachelor's degree. I was wondering if there are other ways to get him the PR.
