Guys:

How things are going with you, I'm still waiting for a letter I need for my police certificate. The waiting is driving me crazy because they send it on snail mail and they "can't guarantee you will receive it" so if I don't get it in 30 days, then they send me another one to replace it, and yeah that's a month lost just like that, that's for MExico VO you can't get police certificate if the Embassy doesn't send you a letter.

At least my husband is coming soon :D. I still praying for the situation in Philippines gets better everyday.

Waiting can certainly be frustrating, especially if it's as long as we have been waiting. Hope you get the letter soon. :)

Why are they requesting your passport for the COPR? I thought they would just send the COPR to you directly without any need to submit your passport?

Hi Mrsalvaro

I'm already in Canada while our application is being processed. What comes next after this? Are they still going to request for my passport?

Hi Blackwood, Congrats! This is indeed good news! :D :D :D
You are one more step closer to getting PR.
Australia is really quick in their processing.

Hi Mrsalvaro, how are you doing? How are your relief efforts going? I hope the Philippines is recovering from the Typhoon. Wish there was something more we could do.

Sorry,

They just requested that I confirm that my passport hasn't changed .. I was required to confirm that its still the same and complete Apendix B: which details my address and dispatch details.

Is that more like the normal process ?

That sounds more like it! haha. Thanks for sharing. I was freaking out a bit because my husband needs his passport for work and I was really counting on him not needing to send it in. We got an email too asking us about where they should send the visa! Good sign I hope. Did your status change to decision made? Congrats :)

Hey guys

My husband had his interview this morning. They didn't give him a yes or no. He was there for 30 minutes and asked him my kids ages, our age difference, when we met, about my divorce, and why we didn't have music or video of our wedding. That was it. He said he thought it went good. But he got my one daughters age wrong. He said she is 11 and she's 10. They said they'd email him they're decision. And they took my notice if assessment and kept his passport. More waiting... Ugh

Hi Can/Alb I remembered you had your interview. Thanks for coming and sharing it! I think if he didn't get frightened because of his wrong answer, it won't cause a huge problem, and he gave answers to the other questions in a normal, natural way you'll be okay!
Please come and tell the decision, wishing you all the bests and looking forward hearing great news!

Hey guys, I got my COPR and landed its all over!!! yay!

See below for updates for the spreadsheet:

Interview was waived, I am visa exempt so no passport request, COPR was received on 20th November I then landed at the Peach Arch (Vancouver) border crossing (flagpole) on the 21st of November. Thanks to all for the support I found this site so very helpful!

Hi can/alb, thanks for sharing your husband's experiences at the interview. But looking at the fact that they took his passport seems like a good sign. They might just stamp the visa and return if once everything seems to be in order. It looks promising.. Good Luck!! ;D ;D :D
