My thoughts and prayers go out to the Filipinos on this thread. I hope you and your families were not directly affected by the tragedy over there. Stay safe guys!

Praying for all the people affected by Typhoon Haiyan right now. With all the casualties, it is really heart wrenching to know that it isn't over yet as the Typhoon is making its way to Vietnam right now. I hope that everyone is doing well.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your prayers for the Philippines. Our country is currently in a state of national calamity.
And in line with this, Id like to ask Bossjosh to take charge of the spreadsheet at the moment.
I am currently organizing a group that will help conduct relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
Because of this,Id be inactive in the forum for a while.

Please pray for my fellow Filipinos. The situation in all the affected areas are so heartbreaking. But all of ys Filipinos here are offering everything we can to help one another.

Thank you...and again..please pray for our country.

It is truly devastating as the death toll is rising. My prayers are going out to all the families out there. The Canadian government is on board to help the Philippines. As far as I heard, they are paying $1 for every dollar that has been donated to the Canadian Red Cross. Hope the Philippines can make a quick recovery with all the help. Good luck with your efforts Mrs. Alvaro.

First of all, my heart and prayers go out to all of you Filipinos out there! I hope your family members are all okay. So, so sad.

On a brighter note, my husband just received an email that says: Please note that we send passports with permanent resident visas only by registered mail to a postal address in Canada or in one of the following countries:
- Algeria, Andorra, Belgium, France, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia.
The mailing address you have asked us to use is not in one of these countries or in Canada. We will continue to use it for all other correspondence but we require a mailing address in one of the above mentioned countries to send the visas.

Looks like they want an address to send our COPR!!! We live in Dubai at the moment and it looks like they don't want to send it here...

Yay! ECAS still shows in process. No decision made yet...

I'm sorry about the terrible situation people from Philippines are going through, pray for everything to get better for them with the past of the days, hope our friends from Manila VO and their families are ok.

Thank you. Truly, The response for help coming from the different parts of the world is really overwhelming. Consequently, the Filipino people would want to thank everyone who in one way or another extended their assistance. The act of kindness shown by everyone in whatever form means a lot especially in times like these. Actually the embassy here in the Philippines is now prioritizing those applicants who are significantly and personally affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Not sure if this is the correct place, sorry if I am not. My husband is canadian and I am american. We are in the United States at the moment and we applied as outland. His sponsorship was sent to missauga in ontario and it was approved July 29, 2013. The letter stated that the application was being forwarded abroad, no place was mentioned. All fees have been paid, and medical and other paperwork has been completed. We have not heard from them yet. What do I do?

That's really strange that they didn't tell you the visa office your application would be sent to. On the letter we received stating we had received sponsorship approval, it clearly stated that if we had any further inquiries that they were to be directed to the Paris visa office and gave us the contact information. Is there any sort of contact information in that letter??? I think if your applying from the US that your application goes either to Ottawa or to L.A. depending on where you're located, if I'm not mistaken...hopefully someone else can confirm.

Have you tried checking your ECAS? If you go to cic.gc.ca you can check your application status (I use my name (sponsor's name) and UCI # to get in). It should say whether your application is in processing or whether the permanent residency application is merely received, which is also normal at this stage. At least you can see everything is under control that way :) I'm sure everything is fine, it's very normal not to have heard anything at all since you received sponsorship approval -- if you look at our July spreadsheet, you'll see very few people have received AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) from their visa office, meaning they haven't heard a word since sponsorship approval either.

It did say it was sending i aboard, but it also said if we had any questions to contact Case Processing Pilot In Ottawa. I just thought it strange and expected it to go to the States. When I went to the website it did say received, just not where and it said the processing time was 22 months. Could that be correct that long? Also where is the spreadsheet you are talking about?

So, your file has gone to Ottawa, that's where it is. (or so it appears) As I said, some go to L.A, some go to Ottawa. Not sure how they choose where it goes. As for the processing time, this website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp shows the processing time for Ottawa to be 15 months, or at least, 80% of all cases are processed within that period.

If you go through the posts for our July forum, you'll find that people have links to the July spreadsheet at the bottom of their posts (look at mrsalvaro's posts, for example). That'll give you a good idea of how many of us are at whatever stage of processing. So far, only 1 person has actually successfully landed in Canada of those of us who applied in July and are part of the spreadsheet. The rest of us wait, just like you, so don't worry. You can also join the spreadsheet if you wish, but it sounded like you submitted your application in June and were approved as a sponsor in July so that would make you better suited for the June spreadsheet. The spreadsheet groups are based on the month in which you submit the application to Mississauga.

Good luck :)

Date of Application: July 04th, 2013
Date the Application was received: July 05th, 2013
AOR receieved: July 23, 2013
Visa Office: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Medicals Done: June 19th, 2013
Where you're bound to in Canada: Toronto, ON

Did they ask for any additional documents

Guys:

How things are going with you, I'm still waiting for a letter I need for my police certificate. The waiting is driving me crazy because they send it on snail mail and they "can't guarantee you will receive it" so if I don't get it in 30 days, then they send me another one to replace it, and yeah that's a month lost just like that, that's for MExico VO you can't get police certificate if the Embassy doesn't send you a letter.

At least my husband is coming soon :D. I still praying for the situation in Philippines gets better everyday.

Hi heureaux,
Welcome to the forum! Can we get your timeline please?
When did you apply to CIC-M? When did you get your meds done? And when did CIC-M receive your application? Where are you going to settle in Canada?

You can see the spreadsheet by clicking on http://tinyurl.com/muvlr3a for the July applicants.
