my infos:

I am the sponsoring my vietnamese husband, no dependants.We intend to live in Quebec when we arrive.

Application Filed: July 26th, 2013 (sent today from Vietnam to Mississauga, ON) (...FINALLY! after months of preparation!)
Medicals Done: 18th of July, 2013
Visa Office: Singapore (but the P.R application is sent to Mississauga, ON)

I am new to all this... how do I make a spreadsheet thingy? (the infos that appear on the left, right?)

Hi! I already added you to the July spreadsheet quebecvietnam! And welcome to our thread!!

You can check the July 2013 spreadsheet on my profile signature below, just click the link.

Regarding the profile information that appears on the left side, you need to have 10 posts so you can modify your profile.

To modify profile, click profile on the uppermost right side of the page and then click profile. Afterwards, you will be directed to the profile info page. On the right side of the page, on the tab that says modify profile , click the Forum Profile Information.Then you input your infos like date of app, aor received, visa office, med's done, etc.

I thought I would feel relieved after FINALLY (4 months of preparation) posting my husband`s P.R package but I actually feel more stressed! Hope I didn`t forget anything... And hope everything will be positive and we won`t have to wait for too long
I see that for some of the sponsors/sponsored the delays were quite quick, I hope it`ll be the same for Vietnam applicants!

Thank you for your reply.

I guess in your case is it is different because, your wife sponsored you. So I guess it doesn't really important if your wife's name is birth/married name.

But in my case, I am sponsoring my wife so she is the one who is going to be getting the visa through VO. I wanted to be 100% sure about the name since the new name on passport and on the application is the married name, not the birth name.

Hopefully they see my email and correct the information.

Hi. As of this moment, CIC is currently processing applications received on June 25, 2013. You may not receive any reply about your email at the moment because they haven't processed and evaluated your application for the sponsor's part.

You might also want to check how your wife's name was written on the forms that you filled up. Or maybe, CIC just overlooked your wife's name and had her birth name written instead her name with her married surname.

I just wish they reply to you as soon as possible.I know it's making you nervous that they are making these mistakes in the early stage of application. Just wait for a few more days, they might reply about your email.

I was about to ask you if you already received yout AOR.You have the same timeline with BossJosh and nortena.

Just wait for a few days .It should come any day from now. Or maybe you'll get you AOR and SA at

Yeah I called CIC this morning and they told that it is usual CPC-M doesn't reply soon. They asked me to wait until atleast i get my SA.

Hopefully they correct it. Yeah you are right, they might have overlooked the passport with the photo page and put the birth name instead.

I DID fill the form using the married name.

I'm certain that CIC opens and goes through our applications faster than they claim to. My application was received the first time on June 21 and it was sent back to me with a letter dated July 4. That's 10 business days.
What they're doing in the meantime before they send us AOR or SA is anyone's guess.

Does anyone have an idea when would they let me know if they want an interview? And would they give an appointment a lot before the date or like a week or two before?
That would be great to know... This stopped me to go to my Husband for 6 months. ??? :'(
