You cannot apply if u r not in Canada. You will have to acquire services of websites like getgcms etc

I also dnt have SS in my notes but rest is same as of yours. After how many months of being in ip2 u ordered csis notes? And after how long you received them? Did u order cbsa notes as well? Whats your csis status? And also whats your visa office? Sorry for asking so many questions...just curious.

Could you please tell me if I can ask my MP to order CBSA notes on behalf of myself? This is a spousal application and I believe my wife's application is stuck with CBSA. I applied back in September of 2016 and the last update I was able to obtain is that she passed the eligibility and the file is undergoing security screening. She's Sudanese living in Saudi Arabia.

You can definitely request, but MPs only have access to IRCC GCMS notes.

Thanks a lot for your positive reply and encouraging comments.

But I would like to know that is it true even sometimes Normal Routine Background Checks can also take more then 6-months?

Because in my case my background checks were almost started in April 2017. Now already 10-months are completed in background checks?

Whenever I send them an email/CSE they simply say "Your file is undergoing necessary background checks"

What do you think that before expiring of my Medical whether I shall hear from the good news of PPR?

Could you please provide your positive answer/feedback in this regard and What is your advise? what should I do?

I ordered notes after one and half month being in IP2. I got them exactly after one month. In Progress. Ottawa

First of all, thank you for all your time and tremendous help you are providing to all fellow forum members.

I need your assistance on my application. I am FSW currently in NA2, AOR 22 Sept 2017, London visa office transfer on 15 Nov, and currently here is the status from my GCMS notes dates 15th January 2018:

ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation:
Info Sharing: Complete
Other Reqs:
Final:

My main issue is that my file has not moved since 15th of November and the last time I checked with LVO, they gave me the standard answer that my file is ongoing background and security checks. No note of S.15 on my GCMS.

Any idea when I can expect to move to IP2? Is security only started in NA2? Based on my GCMS note, is my security started already ?

Could you please let us know when did your gcms notes generated and can you see the phrase of "security screening " in your activities?

Hi, @legalfalcon! I'm glad I've found your explanation here. Here's my case: I just got my CSIS notes and it states that my security check is completed. However, I haven't received my PPR yet. Could they be searching for more information elsewhere? Or is it just a matter of time for CIC release my visa? IRCC notes: all passed! Thank you for your time
