Even if CSIS has finished, it doesn't mean anything.
There are applicants who's CSIS was finished in Sept 2016 and they are still 'in process'.
As of now CEC and PNP seem to be the slowest, why is that, no one can conclusively say. On the contrary most FSWs are being processed within 4-5 months. In early 2016 and late 2015, PNP and CEC were the fastest.

There are PNPs and CECs who are getting PPR, so any anecdotal evidence cannot be of much help, rather each application is processed differently. Unfortunately, all we can do is wait it out. One of the applicants got his PPR after 1 year and 10 months. He was FSW and was stuck at back ground check. His screening was cleared from CSIS and CBSA almost 8 months before he received his PPR.

No I applied for CSIS from http://visafile.info because I don't live in Canada and neither do I know anyone who can apply. And I applied for my GCMS notes from https://gcmsnotes.ca/price.html before I realized I paid too much. I will not share my CSIS or my GCMS notes online. Since you re a repository of collecting everyone eases, and then sharing it with others, I do not want my personal information floating all over.
I shared mine and everyone told me they got the same. People always talk about the content of their csis or gcms note on this forum to get ideas. I have already seen many reports people shared voluntarily after they removed their names and private info. all mentioning about cbsa. I dont care about yours if you are not trasparent. I typed the template here for everyone anyways. Best of luck with your ss and application.

@legalfalcon as we discussed before, I have finished the ADR form 5562 E . Since I added in more sheets because of the extensive travel, I have included a short cover letter. Can I send it for you to review.
If you are still completing travel form, how come your file went to security screening and you got a CSIS report without CBSA name?!!!! What a joke!!!!!

thanks for answer. So I need to just order a gcms to get CBSA report?
If you order CBSA through a representative in Canada because you are not in Canada, keep in mind your representative is only paying $5 to the atip website to get it. They may charge you a bit extra for their service for sending it (5 min task) and scanning the report back to you. But don't be overcharged.

When your application is under progress, the details are not provided. But it is not only the citizens or the PR under the scanner, even citizens are subject to be scanned.

This is an article from 2015, but an interesting read.

Here is a more relevant CSIS report (for immigration purpose):

when both csis and cbsa are involved in immigration security screening what does each one do ? will education, work experience , family ino, militray , travel history be checked by both as required or is cbsa for example specifically for travel and certain field?

Hi .. I just received my GCMS notes and the latest status is as below. By when I can expect the Security to be finished?

Eligibility: Passed
Security:
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed

Security screening page is blank with s.15(1) written on top. So I am not able to identify at what stage of Security screening I am at.

Its 8 months and 8 days now officially after AOR. :D

Thank you.

Everything under the sun is for scrutiny, however, factors such as country of origin, travel, military service become concerning, but what they check is not disclosed.

There is no stage in security screening. Some take longer than others. You will have to wait it out.

Thanks for the reply Legalfalcon. My GCMS was generated on 02-Aug-2017.

1. When should I order my next set of GCMS notes? Since only Security is remaining and it wont be reflected anyways inside the report, if I order another set of GCMS notes.

2. It has additional details as per below. Is this due date significant or just arbitrary date?
APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT
Assigned To: XXXXX
Assigned By: XXXXX
Due Date: 2017/08/27

3. In the entire GCMS I see latest date for most updates is 27-April-2017. This is the date when my BGIP2 started. So did the security started on that date itself or it will start after 2-3 months of that date?

4. Approximately how long this Security screening will last? Do we have any average timeline for this?

Thank you.

If your eligibility is cleared, GCMS won't help much as the security is blanked out. In some cases GCMS do help move the application ahead, but that is anecdotal.

APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT

The due date has no relevance. As most application move way before the due date and some take much longer.

3. In the entire GCMS I see latest date for most updates is 27-April-2017. This is the date when my BGIP2 started. So did the security started on that date itself or it will start after 2-3 months of that date?

See in the middle, that will show how your application progressed. The MyCIC status updates do not mention or correlate as to what stage your application is at. Instead see which stage you are at. For different stages see - https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

4. Approximately how long this Security screening will last? Do we have any average timeline for this?

An average screening is 2-5 weeks. But it depends from application to application. Some take less time, some much longer. Hard to predict.

Thank you.
