Hi sir. Is it safe to Order GCMS notes here: https://www.getgcms.com? as you had mentioned in your signature. Thanks January Applicant here and no PPR yet. Want to order notes.
Thank you Legal Falcon - you are indeed such a helpful person!Unfortunately PNP and CEC are the slowest in processing as of now. Why is it so, there can be theories, or agency priorities, but nothing definite can be said.
The ADR for personal information is asked if there is a gap in the information which you filed or in case IRCC needs to verify by looking into your application. Usually, when ADR is requested there is a placeholder where you can upload those documents. If that is not there, the only way to send documents is through CSE, which you did.
After you send documents by CSE, it takes a long time for them to acknowledge and being stressed during that time is evident, which I understand.
However, all I can say at this stage is that you should raise another CSE, or send an email to CPC Ottawa, given that your application is there. The email id of CPC Ottawa is CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca
If your application is at CIO-Sydney, you will need to stick to CSE.
GCMS notes are helpful to know which stage your application is at. If your application has not even processed, there will not be anything substantial in the notes which will help you. Usually in EE applications which are processed within 6 months when you request GCMS notes after 45 days post AOR, you at least see R10 (completeness check), and some movement in eligibility.
There is no harm in requesting GCMS notes, if you so wish.
I do not speculate or predict, but this all I can say as of now with the information you provided.
I hope it is helpful.
Absolutely, without any issues.Hi sir. Is it safe to Order GCMS notes here: https://www.getgcms.com? as you had mentioned in your signature. Thanks January Applicant here and no PPR yet. Want to order notes.
You should file the entire schedule. The reason you received it s because of gaps in your history, so make sure you don't leave any gaps, specifically the period specific.Thank you Legal Falcon - you are indeed such a helpful person!
I will be ordering GCMS notes very soon.
Meanwhile in another development - this morning I received another ADR from IRCC in mycic Account. The same letter as sent before asking for the same time period for my spouse 1991 to 1992 in detail Additionally however, this time there is a link to fill out Schedule A.
My question is that I had already sent Schedule A alongwith LOE in my original application . Do they not check our documents properly??
Anyway - now I will submit it again - my question to you is that they have asked for details of 1991 to 1992 - but Schedule A asks for latest upto age 18 or last 10 years. So what should I fill? only 1991 to 1992 or from 18 years upto date?
Also should I follow the format as mentioned in Schedule A i.e MM/YYYY or what the letter asks for day, month and year?
Kindly advise
Thank you
Hi Legalfalcon,There is no stage in security screening. Some take longer than others. You will have to wait it out.
Most likely the security is blanked out due to s15 / 16 and that should be the case on page 2 too. Even when the security is finished, the page 2 remains blank and you won't see it is completed. When IRCC says that they are doing additional checks, that is a part of security, so the security is not complete.Hi Legalfalcon,
Once security is passed, will it show "Passed" on our page 2 of the GCMS notes? Or will Security stay blank?
Are additional background checks part of Security under GCMS notes? Which will mean that even after security was passed, if there are still background checks running, the security under assessments stay blank until the background checks were also finalized?
Thanks!
Thanks again Legalfalcon. Most likely the security is blanked out due to s15 / 16 and that should be the case on page 2 too. Yes, once the eligibility is passed, you won't see much changes. However, when the BGC starts, you will see the security on page 2 and other pages blanked and will see S15 / 16 on the top right side of that page. This is an indication that the BGC has started. Thanks again Legalfalcon.
Just to understand correctly, this means that after the eligibility has been "Passed" on the GCMS notes, we won't see any changes on new notes until receiving PPR email? How can one then verify that Security has been completed and passed? How can we know that we are in IP2? We are using a representative and doesn't have access to our MyCIC online account.
This process is so confusing. Thanks again for all the help you give to all of us!
Not all people get stuck in security. Most applicants get a PPR within 4-6 months after AoR. I do not speculate. But every application is different.Hello, Legalfalcon,
Thank you for your very informative articles! Current trend says the longest wait is not for the actual screening job being done, it is the piling up of the gigantic number of files. Now people usually wait for 6 months just for the screening to start. We have many people here with BCIP since Dec. 2016 , still waiting for screening. Ordinary types of people with quite normal background who even cannot think about being screened are being screened now. It seems they enlarge the scope of screening.
With such trend going on, can you guess a ballpark figure as to how long must one wait if dropped into the security pitfall at this moment? Always appreciate your instructions!
Legalfalcon, thanks for this!Yes, once the eligibility is passed, you won't see much changes. However, when the BGC starts, you will see the security on page 2 and other pages blanked and will see S15 / 16 on the top right side of that page. This is an indication that the BGC has started.
Anyone can, except CIO, where only R10 is done, and it depends on many factors, which is not disclosed. So it is hard to predict why some go for security and others done. The BGC happens for all, but some have extended ones taking months. There are certain trends, like, the country of origin, government employment, specific training, association with some specific groups which does make the security screening more likely for such candidates than others.Hi @legalfalcon just a quick question: who decides to do Security Screening? The Local Visa Office, CIO or Ottawa?
Thank you in Advance
YEs, this does Mean that the security has started.Legalfalcon, thanks for this!
Since we received our first set of notes on 25 May 2017, the security is blank on page 2 and other pages with s15 and s16 and been like this ever since. Does this mean we have been in IP2 since 25 May 2017?
