So far nobody here mention one other obvious thing.
Yes it takes longer (2-4 years in total), but you can get decent amount of points.
It is to hit Canadian university and go for the PGWP after that.
And for those that can (only certain nationalities), you can try to go for Working holiday in Canada (that can be the way how to qualify for some provinces).

Do you know if a study visa will be granted even though we are in the EE pool?

Guys, my current CRS score is 435 with an overall CLB score of 9. If I can somehow manage to get a CLB 10, my CRS score would jump to 441 points. Do you think it's worth giving IELTS again (this would be my 3rd time)?

My NOC is 2174, and I have some hope that the cut-off will drop to 435 or lower, or OINP would start issuing NOIs under the HCP stream again - this is the only thing stopping me from giving the IELTS again.

Being in the pool itself means nothing. Until you put down your application for PR, you are not stating your clear intention to immigrate. (same like EOI is not an application to any provincial system).

I think I'll wait for few more draws and then decide. In the mean time, if OINP starts issuing NOIs under the HCP stream, that would be the best option if the cut-off doesn't drop below 435.

It takes the same number of courses to earn the certificate, it is standardized.

Another option is trying to certify with another entity instead of WES.

I think your score is better than his/hers. Yours is that of IELTS, while his/her is CLB score. You have scored the maximum points for language proficiency. I will try to improve my writing score from 7 to 7.5, if i don't get the ITA by July.

Guys I was stuck at 426 with profile created in dec 2017. Got a CLB 9 . But with the current trend .I got ecs done for my wife which took the score to 434. She has got clb 7 .If she gets a 9 it can take the score to 440.
Should she got for that or should we wait for the draw and go for pnp expecting an NOI .
Also do you think its easy to get a job offer with LMIA for Noc 2174

IELTS is way cheaper than PNP, so I would suggest make her attempt IELTS one more time. Best of luck.

How about your previous degree? Does your friend have the same degree as you do? They count the number of years of study.

At 436, I tried to complete an old diploma and spend time and money.

I finished and started ECA update, got my ECA from WES yesterday. everything was ok, till they added (one semester).

Here is where it get tricky, I completed the diploma cos a friend evaluated same diploma, below is his own outcome.

SAME CERTIFICATE!!!

how can an organisation be so inconsistent, it is so annoying, I wrote to them and awaiting response.
