Hello
@legalfalcon, kudos to you for all you do on this forum. I hope my search for insights with you will help guide me in the right path.
I am the PA with 2 dependents.
FYI,
* AOR on February 11, 2024
* Biometrics passed on April 11,2024
* Medicals passed on April 18, 2024
And then I got an ADR on May 1, 2024 for Details of Military Service, of which I never served or declared in the submitted PR Application.
On the other hand, my common-law partner had done a 1-year- Non-military French National Service years back (as a teacher in South America) which he had mistakenly understood as and indicated as Military service in his Personal History. (There was No commandant, No Ranks, No Conscripts, No Artillery/Units. Just a Young guy teaching middle-aged kids, Science).
So once I responded to the request sent to me, I clarified I never served but then mentioned to them about having indicated for my partner in the application and then, submitted all related documents to that year/ his National service.
My question: Yes I know it’s just about 2 weeks since this ADR, but I would like to know from your experience if “National Service” mistakenly indicated as Military could still cause a delay in our application or if that LoE + the justification documents sent to them are sufficient to help prevent this delay.
Also, Is there something we are missing or what else could be done really?
We have a lot of time-sensitive projects that need to stay on track and having no vision of timing on this application will really disrupt a lot of things, especially losing our kid’s place in school if not re-enrolled on time or the sale of our house via a vis when the new owners must get the keys etc…
Thanks a lot for your anticipated help.
