The extension of my OWP was approved while I was outside of Canada and the original document was mailed to my old address. When I returned to Canada, the officer did not print a new copy for me. I then applied by mail for the replacement of my permit and haven’t received a new one yet.

Therefore I do not have a copy of a valid OWP, even though it’s approved, and could not renew my SIN based on it. My SIN got expired on December 20th, 2020 with my pervious permit.

Can I continue working until I receive a replacement document from IRCC? Will this create any issues later on as my SIN will not be valid until I get the replacement document and get the SIN renewed?

You have to have valid status in Canada. If your SIN expired, you can wait until your get your IRCC document. However, it will be your employer who will need a valid SIN on file.

As you might already be aware that (to my knowledge) all post April 2021 Outland AORs haven't received any communication whatsoever after the AOR including Medicals and BIL. I received AOR on June 3rd, 2021 and since then haven't received any update as well.
Since its already been 4 months do you think its okay to apply gcms notes or shall I wait for some update from IRCC.

Under normal circumstances, 4 months would be a good enough time to apply for GCMS notes. However, IRCC is facing rampant delays. I would suggest wait for another few weeks before you apply.

@legalfalcon sir,just one question popping in my mind my all assessment got passed in Feb21,after that everytime i’m hearing wait for the wait final decision.what is this final decision.and why they have to delay this if all the assessments are met.Please advise

You can work, however, it will depend on your employer if they will allow you without a SIN.

This is a million-dollar question. No one has an accurate answer except that IRCC has huge backlogs, priorities have changed and that the progress is slow as most employees are working from home.

I contacted my LVO and they said they will contact me within 90 days for passport submission and completion of any pending requirements like medical after they start finalizing our applications. However they also said that they still haven't started finalizing the applications yet.

In this scenario, considering the documents that you also uploaded on your FB group where it is written that they will reach out to expired copr and complete their process within 30 October, do you think they will start finalizing our application after that, that is from November 1 ?

Considering the overall current situation do you think we should be positive that most of us whose files are approved and have 2019 aor might have a chance to receive our PPR in 2021 ? Do you think we should be hopeful about it ?

There were no dates in the document that I shared. Unless you receive a document to submit your passport, all dates are just speculation.

However, some applicants have started receiving PPRs.

I’ve requested a whole lot of gcms notes while my application is being processed and all of the files were up to 150 pages in today. This time, the last notes I ordered only came to 13 pages, is this anything to pay attention to? Thanks in advance

IRCC systems were down for maintenance and many people had this issue. It has been resolved now.
