Send a webform to IRCC, call IRCC.

The GCMS notes do not have the medical related info, to obtain the medical related info, i.e. assessments of your medicals, you will have to specifically request the GCMS medicals and not your generic GCMS notes. They do not have your medical assessment.

Study permit with Spouse open work permit issue:

My spouse has received Letter of Acceptance for PG Diploma, class starting in Sept 2021. While applying for study permit, consultant denied to include my name as family member opting for open work permit. He clarified the issue by saying visa officer may deny both study permit and OWP. He is insisting to apply for OWP only after completion of at least 2 term of spouse's study program.

My query:
1) Why all consultants insist on applying OWP separately from study permit even though it is clearly mention in IRCC website that we can apply together while applying for study permit.
2) What are all my options? Should I apply OWP separately after getting study permit or should I apply for visitor visa for 6 months and apply for OWP after reaching Canada?

Any suggestion is welcome. Need urgent assistance @legalfalcon .

Most consultants go by what others are doing. What your consultant did what he did is entirely to him. Most consultants thinks that since there person who is a student if a spouse applies for a OWP along with the study visa application then the chances diminish, which is not true as the application states that the person has a spouse. As a spouse of an individual you can apply for either OWP or visitor's visa and it will depend on you how your plan you stay in Canada, you can apply for a visitor's visa, come to Canada, then apply for OWP.

There is no right or wrong way.

You no longer have a “Manitoba Connection” so it will effect your file as you received a nomination based on it.

I don’t think it happens that way. During the time of AoR, the POF equivalent to CAD was $17500. but on gcms, officer has mentioned the available pof amount as $16300. This was calculated based on an exchange rate on a different day. The difference here is $1200. Therefore I don’t think pof is locked at AoR.

When you are referring to the exchange rate, the federal agencies do not go by the day to day exchange rates, instead they use the quarterly exchange rates as published by the Bank of Canada.

For each past day, quarter, and annual.

Whet was posted above is from IRCC's twitter feed, and if in your cases it did not go as per what is stated, then you have to clarify it with IRCC.

Since I am nit privy to your documents or PoF, I cannot comment anything beyond this.

One can raise a web form or request Gcms Notes and not Gcms medicals

These are CBSA Toronto Pearson International Airport numbers that will transfer the call to the IRCC call center

Terminal 1: (905) 676-3640 Terminal 3: (905) 612-5416

• transfer to CIC processing application press 2
• status or processing times press 1
• become permanent resident press 2
• application starts with E press 2
• then enter application number followed by #
• listen to the entered number and press 1 to confirm
• enter the year of birth and then listen the entered number and press 1 to confirm
• hear the details
• then press 1 to check status (there will be a pause)
• hear detailed status at the end press 0 to speak to agent

Other reqs went from blank to Not Started. Can you please let me know what does this mean?
