Case Analyst Note:

Work Experience: 2-3 years. 11 FSW points: Note: PA claimed4-5 years of foreign work experience - Revised to reflect actual declared foreign work experience - still seems to pass with revision

Please shed some light on this @legalfalcon

You will have to give some context to what you are referring to.

@legalfalcon I applied for a new passport after receiving my ITA to add spouse name and change address. While I will be adding the info about my old passport in the LOE I wanted to know how will this affect my process? All the stamps of our international travel are on the old passport, do I still have to mention all the travel history to be on the safe side?

You have to mention all the travel history for the last 10 years. See the questions for the travel history. If your old passport has valid and expired, visas, you will have to provide a copy of the old passport too.

Hello @legalfalcon,

Primary applicant got a medical extension BUT infant's Medical is still valid until next month.

When we can expect his extension?

It is at the discretion of the Officer. Usually before an application is approved, it is made sure that all checks have been done and that all documents are valid.

So just wait and it will be done, and in case a re-med is required, you will be informed.

@legalfalcon Hi. Thank you for your help till now. I am confused regarding attachment of paystubs. I am applying under FSW express entry. The instructions say that proof must include "Reference letter and paystubs, if you have them". So are paystubs optional or mandatory? I don't have paystubs for all jobs. And for the latest two jobs that I had, how many paystubs do I need to attach? Please let me know. I am trying to make sure that I don't add too many documents which might confuse or overwhelm the visa officer. Please guide.
Thank you

They are optional. However, if you have them you and submit them or your tax returns.

As per IRCC:

Proof of work experience
Purpose
To prove each work experience claim and to validate that the applicant meets program requirements
Document requirements
  • The personalized document checklist in applicants’ online account prompts the applicant with an upload field for each work experience declared.
  • At the completeness check, the processing office determines only whether the required documents are included. The validity or fraudulence of the information is assessed only if and when the application is placed into processing.
The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:
  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and
  • if the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).
If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years]).

@legalfalcon : My medicals and criminality is PASSED as per call with agent. Shall I assume both stages has been passed for my spouse as well? I have added my spouse as dependent in my application. Please help.

the medicals will be also reflected on your MyCIC account and if the criminality is passed, then it will be for all individuals in the application.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

What is approx. waiting time after MEP to Officer review ? what is the trend to review application after MEP and BIL (both is done) ?

Thanks @legalfalcon , Medicals is showing as Passed in my profile but it doesn't show for my spouse as a separate section. Thanks for your response.

There is no published timelines as such. It can be anywhere from 2-4 months. You should ask fellow applicants who have the same VO as you.
