I needed some advice on a matter. I am post-ITA and I need to prove the relationship to my uncle (brother of my mother). I understand the recommended method is to provide birth certificates for this. The main issue is that when my uncle got his PR in the mid 90s, he lied on his application and had his year of birth changed. The year of birth is now the same as my late mother's - in fact, it is only 8 months apart. So I don't think I can provide his passport or birth certificate.

I do not need the points for adaptability. I am around 75 MEC points for FSW. What should I do for this case? I do not want to include documents that I know are untrue.

What is the best way to tackle this?

- Option 1: Answer No to the question of relatives. The application becomes simple and I don't have to upload anything or explain anything. But, I am then effectively lying on the application.

- Option 2: Answer Yes to the question of relatives but upload a LOE explaining I am above FSW MEC and wish to not claim the points for my uncle. If I go with Option 2, what should I upload in the documentation section? A blank PDF?

Hi guys and @legalfalcon We received our ITA recently and my husband is the primary applicant. He listed his work experience for two jobs (2011-2013) and (2015-present date). For the earlier job, we might not be able to get the reference letter so we are thinking of skipping it altogether. It was mentioned in our profile though, and wanted to confirm if we can move it to the personal work history instead. His current job is a continuous job for 5+ years so I am assuming our CRS shouldn’t change even if we remove the experience for the other job. Any help is appreciated. :)

Also, we gave our biometrics for work visa and visitor visa to Canada last year only when we went there. I am also assuming we don’t need to give our biometrics again?

You can move the job from work history to personal history if you are no longer claiming points for it and if it doe snot impact the cRS.

However, along with the CRS you also have to ensure that your MEC is not impacted, i.e. 67 points. See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers/six-selection-factors-federal-skilled-workers.html

If your are over 67 and your cRS is over the cut off after you remove the job, then you need not worry.

Thanks for reply @legalfalcon

My eligibility was passed as per GCMS notes on January 2020 & File transfer to Local Visa office on Feb 2020 then why once eligibility passed then transfer reason eligibility in GCMS notes..

Your eligibility may not have been conclusively passed. Even if it was, there may be additional verifications required. See your GCMS notes, last 3-5 pages for the officer's notes.

Hello @legalfalcon
Hope you're doing well!

Suppose, while releasing a PPR ,Visa Office realizes that minor PP is expiring soon.

#Will they mail us requesting a fresh/ renewed PP? As I can get PPR anytime soon, will that be feasible to renew PP in between?

AND

#After submission how much time it will take to get a PPR then ?

---
Thanks & Regards

IRCC will not ask for a renewed PP. If the PP is expiring soon then your cOPR and PR visa cannot be issued beyond the PP expiry. It is an applicant's responsibility to ensure that the PPs are valid for adequate time.

You can get your passport renewed and send the scan of the biometrics pages. It has no impact on the processing.

go with Option 2 and simply stage that since your mother passed away, you do not have the required documents.

OK. That makes sense. Another thought - I am already in Canada on a study permit. I regularly visit my uncle. If I still say I don't have documentation of my mother, is it still ok? Would background check or anything bring up anything?

Hi Legalfalcon,

Just a query about noc code. My partner worked 9 mons as NOC B 6311 - food supervisor and got promoted to NOC 0 0631 - Restaurant Manager 4 mons now. After completing 1 year we applied NS pnp experience class that require 1 year noc 0, a or b. When we made our EE profile primary is 6311, but the nomination follows current job pos as 0631.

Before the next ITA, could we change i to 0631 to match the nomination doc? Or its fine to leave it as it is.

Thank you.

All COPRs will have this water mark:

It only means that COPR by itself is not a travel document. A travel document is your passport.

A COPR merely is a proof of your Permanent Residency in Canada. You cannot travel with a COPR along. You will need a passport to travel.
Thank you..for the clarification..

If you do not provide any documents and do not wish to claim points, it has got nothing to do with your application and has no impact.

You can avail points, but if you wish not to, IRCC cannot force you to obtain them and produce documents.

The BGC for TRV and PR are different, just because you have a TRV does not mean that your BGC for your PR application will be faster or can be replaced with the BGC done for your TRV.

In your IRCC profile, you can change your NOC post ITA. It does not matter as long as your CRS score I not impacted.

However, make sure that the primary NOC you chose, you have to have 1 year of full time or equivalent in part time work experience in it.

Case Analyst Note:

Work Experience: 2-3 years. 11 FSW points: Note: PA claimed4-5 years of foreign work experience - Revised to reflect actual declared foreign work experience - still seems to pass with revision

Please shed some light on this @legalfalcon

Hi @caipsnotes @legalfalcon I finally got my COPR today but the funny thing is that I never received my GCMS notes that i have ordered on 23rd Oct from IRCC and today from CBSA, will I be still get my notes? or they will discard it?

Thanks
Hi. Congratulations. Gcms Notes are taking longer in many cases when requested from IRCC. You should receive the same information from CBSA on time though. You will still receive these files but they are likely to be generated in the first few days of being requested. Requesting Gcms Notes has no bearing on the processing of your application even though some people mention that it can cause a movement (i.e. progress); not true.
