I am not sure who someone would have to abandon their PR for a scholarship? As soon as your abandon your PR status, you are like any other person and your visitor's visa will be scrutinized based on your likelihood of returning, i.e. ties to your home country. I am not sure if you are a PR too, if you are and your wife applies for a visitor's visa after abandoning her PR, her chances of getting it are slim because of the fact that her family is in Canada and her chances of overstaying are more.

Can she apply for a work permit through me - What is your status? Are you a PR, BOWP. Without knowing that I can't answer.

Getting a PR is a privilege and why would someone abandon it for a scholarship, I wonder. If you are getting a scholarship to study in Canada, as a PR you are eligible for most scholarship that are open to Canadian citizens. I have no idea about your intentions behind it and why you are think about it.
Thanks Legalfalcon

I'm a PR holder. Our home country would require a copy of valid work permit for her to be eligible for this scholarship. It is not a Canadian scholarship. If they know she is a PR holder, they would denay it. We can always reapply for PR later again, but this chance is a once in life thing and it is big sum of money.

You can go ahead and create your profile. The ECA evaluation agency should not change your ECA number and you have enough time before your have to file your application post ITA.
Thanks Legalfalcon,

I sent an email to WES and created profile today.
On a general note, if WES does not return back with correction or delay its process, can I mention the same in LOE by mentioning, the name in provisional & degree certificate?
All in hope!! thanks for your advice..

Hi Legalfalcon- I have a question related to POST PPR. Please advise. As I understand it is clear that once you do the first landing then you don't have to stay for long and PR card can be mailed to a friend who can then mail it to wherever you are in the world so that you have it with you when you do the second landing.

-Now my query is that how much time do we have before you return to Canada for second landing? In case we plan to activate our PR and return after a year or two then is it ok?

-Also can only the PA go and activate PR and the dependant can go with PA second time which could be after a year or two?

TIA

If you are a PR, and your spouse is on a temporary visa, your spouse can apply for a work permit. Whatever you do, make sure that you are aware of the consequences and engaging a lawyer, would be advisable. You will have to be through with your paper work and make sure that things are done in a specific order so that you do not violate any laws. <http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/about-pr.asp>

All the best!

If WES does not revert back on time, you can sent a LoE and inform IRCC. Also include your correspondence with WES.In the LoE, explain your situation in detail and also add a self notarized affidavit stating the same.

Help?

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cse-for-forgotten-document-pc-t487251.0.html

Police certificate requirements differ between countries. I need to provide an additional document from Court too. I already submitted application and this was not included. I included only PC from Ministry of Justice as I previously thought it was sufficient. A stupid mistake.

Would CSE with uploaded additional PC document and a LOE clear this situation and prevent refusal of the application?

Long story short: Should I withdraw my application and go into the pool again or there is hope they could accept CSE with additional PC document?

The last step to the becoming a permanent resident in landing. After you land, your are a permanent resident. The PR, card is a proof of it and there is no activation process for the PR card. Once you receive the PR card, it is like any other documents confirming that you are a PR.

After you land and become a PR, you will have to maintain your PR status. To maintain your PR status.

When you are a permanent resident, you can live outside of Canada, but must live in Canada for at least two years in a five-year period. If you live outside of Canada for longer, you may lose your permanent resident status.

Thanks Legalfalcon that would be great... since I would not be counting on WES response fastness,
I would be grateful If you could provide some sample format of self notarized affidavit.. :)

Thank you legalfalcon.

I have one more doubt, please advise.

Can primary applicant go and activate PR once visa is through, come back to home country (for a year) and go again after 1 year with dependent? Or dependent must go first time with PA to activate his PR as well.

TIA

There can be two scenarios:

1. PA and dependents land together.
2. PA lands and later the dependents land.

However, the PA and the dependents have to land before the date mentioned in the visa. As long as you land before the date mentioned in your visa you are good.

Hi LegalF.

I am the one raising CSE for additional PC document. I did manage to get one immediately.

I am looking at CSE "Type of Enquiry".

Should I choose "PR (applied online)" or "Replacement documents, amendments to documents and verifications status of documents".

Do you think this category is suitable for my case?

IRCC mandates the following:<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp>

Without the job duties and responsibilities, the application will be rejected. You can get reference letters from previous supervisors, even if they have changed jobs and now work for another company, colleagues (who currently work with you), subordinates, and any other person, including clients. With the letter from the HR and the supplemented letters you will be able to fulfil the requirement. When you file the application make sure you add a Letter of Explanation stating that the HR refused to give a reference letter with job duties and responsibilities, and this is why you are adding supplemental documents to prove your work experience.

Thanks LegalFalcon

I put "PR applied online" since I saw some previous post suggesting that. I guess they will read it anyway.

Dear Legal Falcon,

I have submitted my Application on the 20th of April. However, I've been going through sleepless nights since then....I'm really worried about the Pakistan PCC that I have sent in because of the stories that I'm reading up about PCC rejections on this forum after application.

BACKGROUND:
My hubby and I are currently both living and working in Kuwait and we got our Kuwait PCCs which I uploaded. My husband travels to Pakistan every month over the weekends or for short trips (maximum 4 day trips) to meet his mother who is old and take care of her bills, payments, doctors appointments etc..
On his last trip (March 13th, 2017) He got us both our PCCs from Karachi, Pakistan which states that we stayed in our house in XXXX Area Karachi, Pakistan from September 1988 to date. The 1988 date was to cover me from the time I turned 18. His dates were similar in order to cover his age from 18 onwards; however, this information is actually not correct as I married him when I was 25 and was staying with my parents in another area YYYY in Karachi and he was living and staying with his parents in another area BBBBB in Karachi. The PCCs are dated 13th March, 2017 and my husband returned to Kuwait with them on 15th March, 2017 . I uploaded those PCCs in addition to the Kuwait ones that we received from over here.

In my LOE I explained to the case officer that our District Police Officer refused to add additional addresses in our PCC that we have stayed at since age 18 and that despite several requests to the Police Office; the Officer In Charge informed us said that they will write the "official" residential address as given in our National Identity Card registered with the National Registration Database. (this in our case is the one written in in the PCC i.e. Area XXXX Karachi. Furthermore, the officer informed us that they only issue a PCC after they have verified from all Police stations in the Karachi City Areas/Limits about an individual.

After reading about rejections on PCCs I would appreciate it if you could guide me on the following:

1. Are the PCCs going to be rejected because they were issued before he travelled back with them i.e. issued 13th March and he came back with them on 15th March? I understand that PCC should be dated after you left the country - But for us this will always be the case as he travels EVERY month and his next trip is scheduled at the end of April and as a family we will travel back to Pakistan for the Summer Holidays in June for two weeks....so what is the solution for this kind of situation? Is the date of issuance supposed to be after you left the country to RESIDE in another Country or is it after you VISIT your Home country even if its for a short visit?

2. We last lived in Karachi in 2008 after which we moved to work in Kuwait. I have provide copies of our Kuwait work permits to show that we travelled to Kuwait on work Visa in 2008. My question is should our PCC read from xx/200x up TODATE or should it read xx/200x up to MAY 2008 (date we left Pakistan to travel to Kuwait for work) ?

3. Do we HAVE to get PCCs covering all addresses and time periods from 18 onwards? or is my explanation good enough in the LOE? Will IRCC accept my PCCs?

4. If I do manage to get a new PCC with different addresses ( I am still writing to higher authorities and trying to obtain a different one) how can I submit them - should I raise a CSE and can I attach them with that CSE? Does anyone have any experience of doing so?

Apologies for the long post but I'm hoping you can help out as I don't want to get a rejection because of this PCC issue.

Thank you very much.

Not a big deal. They will take care of it.
