I have a question regarding PCC. I have got my PCC for my home country(India) and country which I am residing now (canada) back in DEC 2018. are they still valid if I submit my application sometime in June 2019? I haven't been to my home country since 2018 Jan.

hello guys! I am back! Today I call CIC, the agent is very nice, she said my Security check in processing, but in MAY 17TH which is last week Friday, all the information is upload to the system, waiting for VO final review. she said it is good news. once officer said ok that means my security check is done.
Do you guys think in this stage still have a chance got Security screening?

Date the certificate was issued
For the country where you currently live
The police certificate for the country where you currently live:

• must be issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application
• must not be expired

For any other country
For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row.

Some countries put expiry dates on their police certificates. If you have a police certificate that expired, include it. We’ll accept it if:

• it was issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row
• it is not for the country where you currently live

An officer may ask for a new one later on

Need your advise on something also.
My wife stayed in UK from 2004 to 2009 and we are in the process of procuring PCC from UK. Unknowingly, she overstayed her visa for some time. Can this have an impact on our application?

You will have to disclose the prior overstay, if there was any paperwork.
If she left the country without any removal proceedings, you no need not to answer the statutory questions in affirmative.

Be advised that UK and Canada have info-sharing agreement, and your information can be obtained from UK of any immigration violations.

The immigration violations have nothing to do with your PCC, since PPCs are for criminal inadmissibility where as the immigration violations are mostly of civil nature.

I have a follow up question on this.

While uploading the updated POF,does the amount need to be the same as it was while submitting the application at the time of AOR , or it can be different but above the threshold limit of $15, 772.

As long as you have it over the minimum PoF required. You will be fine. IRCC does not care if you have more money, all you need to meet is the minimum PoF.

Not really. IRCC only get the exchange rates three times a year so the daily fluctuation does not affect it. However, it is always advisable to have funds over the minimum required, and in case with the fluctuation in exchange rate you see your funds going on, you should add more funds and sen a revised POF.

Thanks for all the help you are given here. I have a sister who is a chartered accountant in Ghana and is about to go through the express entry process. My question is should she send her transcript for the association of chartered accountant in Ghana ( ICAG) to WES for evaluation or she should send it to another institution for CPA here in Canada for evaluation before she opens her EE profile?

For Charted Accountants, you will have to get it evaluated by WES or any other designated agency.

If its final review, then most likely you security is done. The VO will verify everything, update your application and add you file for PPR.

You have RR for your CEC. Since that line regarding your pay check is redacted, it will depend on the documents you submitted.

If you have submitted all your documents, and meet the CEC minimum requirements, you are all good. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.html

RR does not always mean that there is something wrong, it can also mean that the analyst has ask the officer to review before making a determination.

Visa office: Ottawa

Could you please help me understand this:


I have sent upfront LOE explaining:
1. logo for work is same because;
-both the companies are owned by the same person.
-Also, website shows the same logo and mentioned in the LOE for visa officer to look at the website for the logo.
2.For bank letter:
-I have sent an updated bank letter with the account numbers for both the accounts with the current balances.
-I explained in the LOE that I have two accounts: one is for chequing and other one is for saving. Also, all of my funds are in the savings account. Also, at the time of my AOR my bank statement for savings account was not generated as it is automatically generated 6 monthly from the account opening date. So, I submitted my chequing account statements for the last 6 months as THOSE SHOW the savings account balance on the last page. I mentioned this point in my COVER LETTER as well that all the funds are in the savings account.
- I have submitted all the bank statements for the savings account for the last six months from the AOR till now with the explanation.

Please provide me with your opinion and guidance.
Would really appreciate your help.
