Recommendation: Review Required MI3 SUMMARY NOTES: Logo for work experience with XX matches logo for work experience with YY. Account numbers not given on the bank letter from XX bank. Bank letter indicates two accounts containing $XX and $YY. PA has provided account history for account containing $XX. Please review funds. A11.2 appears met R75 FSW SELECTION CRITERIA- FSW POINTS/Funds: appears met FSW POINTS TOTAL: 74 Ready to Finalize RPRF: complete

I have pasted the analyst note exactly the same as on GCMS notes for your convenience. Please advise.

Thanks in advance
There are two things that pop out.

1. If you have two employers, and their logo is same, that is a concern. If it is a subsidiary or some other relation, you can clarify it by sending a LoE via CSE.

2. As regards the PoF, for your second account there is no 6 months average balance. So if you have shown funds in 2 accounts, you have to meet the 6 months average balance, for both. If you did not show, you can send the history and explain in LoE.

See https://www.getgcms.com/blog/proof-funds-requirement-express-entry/

Understanding “Review Required”

A lot of applicants see “review required” in their GCMS notes for eligibility. There are many theories floating around with regard to what “review required” means and if it is alarming.

Before I venture into explaining the significance, it is important to understand that each application goes through the following stages as per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the regulations (Canadian Immigration Law):

R10 – Completeness Check
Criminality
Medicals
A11.2 – eligibility
Security

Out of the above, the most important stage is eligibility. This is also the most time-consuming stage because your documents have to be verified, evaluated and assessed to ascertain that you meet the eligibility criteria for the program you have applied (FSW / CEC / FTW). To stream line this process and make it easier for an immigration officer (decision making authority), all applications are first evaluated by case analysts or program assistants. They review the documents and summarize it in the GCMS. If they have any concerns with any document or want the immigration officer to carefully look into a specific document, they will flag it as “review required.” It is the content of the note that is important here. If the review required is for a specific document, while the summary of the note says that an applicant has met the eligibility, or “ready to finalize” it simply means that while the applicant has met the eligibility criteria, but the specific document needs a careful examination form the officer before promoting (eligibility pass) by the officer.

However, if there are concerns, there will be a review required for the eligibility, and there will be no text to the effect “ready to finalize” or pass. The note will specifically state job duties do not match, or the employment cannot be verified, or the number of years of work experience claimed cannot be verified. This is where an application can land in muddy waters. But the final decision rests on the immigration officer. He may override the decision of the analyst / assistant or go with the analysis of the analyst / assistant.

Even in cases where the analyst / assistant is of the opinion that the applicant has met the eligibility, and there is no “review required,” the officer can replace it with his own opinion. Though rare, but it does happen. This is why the eligibility is only passed when an officer conclusively marks the eligibility as passed.

Finally, there is “review required” for PoF. This is the most common in many applications. This is because, the financial and banking practices of each country are different. Eg. Fixed deposits are know as Certificate of Deposit (CD) in the US. Similarly, treasury bonds, mutual funds, stocks, and many other investment vehicles are there. If your PoF anything other than a bank deposit, it is more likely that it will be marked as “review required.” Also, IRCC does not go by day to day fluctuations in FOREX. Instead, the Canadian federal government issued a quarterly conversion rate for all FOREX vis-a-via CAD. If your PoF is in a foreign currency, then you may have “review required” for the officer to make a determination.

Just because you have “review required” does not mean that you hit the panic mode. Instead, read the context in which it is there. If there is a concern regarding a document, you can send a replacement document via CSE. The most common reasons for RR are:

1. Work reference letter without job duties
2. Work reference letters missing all the details requested by IRCC
3. If you submitted a letter from a colleague because you were unable to get one from your employer, but did not have a LoE on file, this too will lead to RR.
4. Not sufficient work experience in the primary NOC.
5. Inability to verify your employment as your employer details are missing.

There are just some of the scenarios.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much @legalfalcon. Do I need to send a letter of explanation for making a change after the ITA?
No need for LoE.

If you make any changes post ITA, and it does not impact your CRS and MEC, there is no need for LoE.

The GCMS notes says: review required for Proof of funds.
I am living in NZ.
I have funds more than the required amount. My bank letter shows two accounts with different suffix; one is cheque and the other is savings. The cheque account is for day to day purposes and savings account, where all the savings are.
I downloaded statements from my online banking and provided the bank statements for cheque account for the last 6 months; which do indicate the balance for the savings account (where all the funds are sitting) as well on the end page. The reason to submit the cheque account bank statements was; the saving account statement was not generated at the time of AOR. As the bank automatically generates 6 monthly statement for saving account. Whereas, the cheque account statements are generated monthly.

Because the analyst observed the bank statement for the cheque account (according to my opinion, he might have missed the savings account balance on the last page), he has put a note that applicant has provided bank statements for cheque account only. Please review funds. Also, he mentioned that, bank letter shows two accounts and does not indicate account number.
Funds met.
Secondly, he has observed that logo on the work reference letter matches for both the workplaces. I have provided two reference letters with the same logo on the letterhead. This is because the owner is same for both the companies. There are two separate entities. But, the owner is same. The websites for both the workplaces shows the same logo.

I have explained all these in the LOE for the logo and the sent an updated bank letter with the account numbers and also, sent the bank statements for savings account as it was generated later.
Read my response above. Seems like you have already done what was required.

Read understating RR, and things will be clear.

Documents required:
1. An IMM8 Application
2. Schedule A form for spouse
3. Additional Family Information form for primary applicant and spouse.
4. Fee receipt for spouse - Processing fee ($550) and right of permanent residence fee ($490)
5. Birth Certificate of spouse
6. Copy of Spouse's Passport
9. Police clearance certificate for the primary applicant and spouse (if not added already)
10. Spouse's upfront medical
11. Letter of Explanation
12. language scores and ECA if applicable.

After you add your spouse, there will some delay in processing, but not much as you have already submitted your spouses meds, PCCs etc.

The PR cannot be refused for this.

If you get your PPR, you can send an email or cse and inform. Your PPR request will be revoked and the file reopened to process and a new ppr will be issued.
Thanks a ton for the detailed response. It would be truly helpful.

You have to send reference letters with job duties.

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits
You can send this now via CSE and see if it is considered.

Hey, I sent them an email attaching my experience letters
and I got an email reply from CIC ...
They say that they have verified my information on file and confirm that documents are received by responsible office.
Also, they say that my file is with CANADA visa office in New Delhi...so u may contact them if u wish to...
Now what shud I do ??

Hi @legalfalcon ! I really appreciate you for using your time to help people here, perhaps you can help me too.

I used to work in company A on-site, but I was outsourced from company B. Company B went bankrupt.
Just to make it clear: Company A hired company B to hire me.

Would an official document printed on company A letterhead be enough to provide proof of my work experience?
