Thankyou legalfalcon. Alternatively Can it be assumed that my file has been transferred to local vo.
Most likely yes, but cannot say with surety without seeing the GCMS notes.

HELLO ,
I am going to apply for immigration as PRINCIPAL and my husband and kids will be my dependents.I would like to know that being a Pakistani PHYSICIAN with experience of 10 years in Saudia Arabia , to get educational credentials points should I go for WES or MCC ? As I am NOT PLANNING to practice in canada in that case, still I need to go through MCC?
Best regards and thanx in advance.
You will have to go with MCC since WES cannot give ECA for medical degrees. Irrespective of whether you want to practice in Canada as a physician, you will have to get your ECA from MCC.

Hi LegalFalcon,

I have a question regarding the address history in our post ITA application. In some cases I am not sure if I should be mentioning the address that I was physically staying at or the one that I was renting/paying the lease for. For example, I had a lease for 12 months in toronto but out of the 12 months, for 2 months I stayed at a family friend's house. so there is no record of me staying at the friend's house and I paid for all 12 months for the place I was actually leasing. So was wondering if in this scenario, I should still be including the friend's address? Thank you!

You only have to mention the address which was your legal address, not where you lived for short periods. You legal address is one which you use for all legal purposes. Eg. you may have an apartment in a city which is your legal address, but you decide to live at your parents or your partner's house. Unless you change your address, you cannot declare the change in your legal address as all your official correspondence comes to that address, and the address is on your official IDs.

Thanks for your reply!

Regarding official ID, since I was an international student in Canada, I had to move several times (i.e around 10 different addresses/leases) so due to this I always had one permanent address (my friend's address) on my Canadian driver's license which is the only government issued ID I have from Canada. I had to keep it that way because I moved a lot and sometimes had to stay in hotels before I could find another place so in case there was a need for the government to mail something they could send it to my friends place which was their permanent address. Now can I mention the 10 different addresses I lived at, even though I did not have them on my government issued ID? Should I explain this in my LOE? Thanks again for your help

Hello Legalfalcon,
If you remember, my aor was 10 Jan 2017.
25 Jan: meds passed; no additional doc req
26 Jan: bg check not started.
30 Jan (probably as i skipped checking my account on weekend): back ground check again changed to not needed.

One thing i missed to tell you was that my first baby was born on jan 19th. I raised a CSE on jan 22.
My question is:
1 Do you think my background check again went to ‘not needed’ as cic wants (and yesterday they did contact me which I will discuss later) my newborns details before it will move ahead with the processing of my file?
In other words, do you see any correlation of my status changes with the birth of my child.
Will the birth of my baby will somehow influence the progress (or lack of it) of processing of my file. Will cic hold my file until i upload his birth certificate and passport (which will take a month) or will process it at its normal pace.
Please note that i had chosen my settlement funds keeping in view the increase in family members (although we were two at that point, me and my wife chose funds required for three family members).

Regarding my CSE, kindly note CIC response:
Thankyou. They did contacted me yesterday. I am copy pasting the email and will then put my queries to you.

Dear Muhammad Shaheer Javed,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. You will find all the necessary information to answer your enquiry below:

If you are the principal applicant of a permanent residence application already in process, you could add your spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children to your application, even if they were listed as a non-accompanying dependant in the initial application.

To do so, we invite you to complete the following forms and mail them to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. If the newly created family member is a child born in Canada, only the add-on request is required:

A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) with supporting documents,
(If applicable) A Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form,
(If applicable) An Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form,
(If applicable) A signed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) form,
A copy of the family member’s valid passport,
Police certificates for all countries where the family member over the age of 18 has lived for more than 6 months since turning 18,

and
The add-on request including:
your name,
your client ID number/UCI,
your file number,
a letter of explanation,
a copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship, and
if applicable, the proof of payment.

Useful tips

Please ensure to write ADD-ON on the forms and on the envelope.
If you would like proof that your application was received, we suggest that you use registered mail with Canada Post or a courier service such as Purolator, UPS, FedEx, etc.
It may be impossible to add a member of your family to the application if a final decision has already been made.

We hope you will find this information helpful.

Your add-on request will be evaluated by the responsible office. You will be contacted when a decision will be made or if further information is required.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Download application forms and guides
Change of address
Check your application status
Help Centre - To find answers, you may consult the different sections or type keywords related to your question.

Sincerely,

Massimo,

DO you think they have asked to re-submit the whole package. Why are they requiring me to submit "A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) with supporting documents" and why are they using If applicable against the rest of the docs?

Hello LegalFalcon

I applied for EE and received an ITA, while going through on my documents I found an error

I got my transcripts evaluated, but when I opened one of my sealed transcripts, on one of the pages it had someone else's name. So I asked my university to issue me a new transcript. But the format of the new transcript I received is different to my last one.

I have sent a case specific inquiry as well as an email to WES and have received no reply from either one.. that was 2 weeks ago.
Do we need to send same transcripts to WES and CIC?
Thanks

You need to pick your address that is on your driving license and other official documents, i.e. you bank statements etc. This is the address that is on the systems which CIC can verify. There is no problem in having 10 different addresses and you don't need a LoE.

30 Jan (probably as i skipped checking my account on weekend): back ground check again changed to not needed. This is very normal. A lot of applicants see this change and is not unusual. Why this happens is still a mystery, maybe a system glitch, but nothing to worry.

One thing i missed to tell you was that my first baby was born on jan 19th. I raised a CSE on jan 22.

It could be, but it does not negatively affect your application.

In other words, do you see any correlation of my status changes with the birth of my child.
Will the birth of my baby will somehow influence the progress (or lack of it) of processing of my file. Will cic hold my file until i upload his birth certificate and passport (which will take a month) or will process it at its normal pace.

If you raised a CSE that you have a new born, CIC will need those documents. It will not delay your file as for new borns the CIC does not run a background check or a criminal check, but you will need to upload the basic document. As you have said that you had the funds taking into account your new born, you are all good. Nothing to worry about.
Hope this helps and heartiest congratulations on your new born!

You application with your new born added will need to be processed as an application with 2 dependents. That is why they are asking for a new IMM 0008, which is a regular procedure and you will have to comply with it. They want to make sure the dependents, how they are related, and that is why the new IMM 0008. You have to keep in mind that there are applicants who add dependents who may not be directly related, like marrying a spouse who has a dependent kid. This is the same procedure for all applicants and you need not worry.

Hope this answers your question.
