Dear @legalfalcon

I have observed something peculiar in the noes by Analyst/Agent. He has reviewed only two companies among the 3 I've worked and he has not mentioned my latest experience which is from June 2016 to June 2017, Nigeria. It is no where mentioned in though I have uploaded LoR and work permit card and Nigeria PCC.
Don't you think that I have to raise the alarm?
Pls suggest me what to do.......and Does my Notes sounds OK?

Thanks in advance.

The case analyst passed your eligibility. Don't see a reason to be worried

Thank you sir. But does Recommend Pass and Met have same meaning regarding eligibility status?

4. No the letter doesn't say its unencumbered. But it says that I can withdraw at anytime.
5. Its not in a letterhead, but it has the company name, department, my name, emp. no. and designation. Will this suffice? I am getting the reference letters through HR. This is only to confirm the salary details.
How many salary slips should I attach? 2 is enough for a year?
As per IRCC -

reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits
If you meet these, you are good.

Hello Legal Falcon,

I am in Ip2 from June 22. Today, I called CIC, they said eligibility is passed now, only security check is not started. Once that is done, you will get ppr mail..it is the only thing pending. They said can't tell exactly when can I expect the same? Any idea approximately how much time it will take for ppr and what will happen in final security check.?
The eligibility takes place in 2 stages. First an program assistant or analyst will review an application and then the recommendation is reviewed by an officer who makes a final determination. This stage is also the longest, barring any security or SS. So the final determination is what is pending for eligibility. Since your Eligibility is recommended passed, your file may have been sent for BGC.

Since the call centre agents do not state if the eligibility passed or conclusively passed, relying on them is speculation.

IF you want to track your application, request GCMS notes.

Hello @legalfalcon,

I've just received my GCMS notes and have a comment made by Case Analyst in there regarding Eligibility...

"No address block given on LOE, open source search for address from LOE only shows a partial match on google maps (no unit/apt # included), building at address appears to be a residential building called..Unable to verify employer. Please review"

Will try to explain...the company I've been working for is doing business as...another big company... and of course the address on the Employment letter is the address of the first company (it is the same everywhere, on pay stubs, CRA documents, pay cheques..and it is my boss residential address indeed (but unit number provided as well...do not know why Case Analyst notes say no unit # provided....)

I did call my former boss yesterday to clarify if I can get a letter confirming the address for the company or something... and he was surprised and told me there should be no concern as the address is correct and yes, it is his residential, business address can be residential address..he is renting an office somewhere else, but still using his residential for the company documents and etc...

Looks like the last change on my file was made March 16th (AOR March 1) and they have not contacted me or my employer for any additional documents or to confirm something...is it really that slow?

I am just worried and do not know if it will help to raise a specific case inquiry and submit a letter of explanation about the address...or anything else I can or should do?

Really hoping for an advise
Thanks a lot in advance
The eligibility takes place in 2 stages. First an program assistant or analyst will review an application and then the recommendation is reviewed by an officer who makes a final determination. This stage is also the longest, barring any security or SS.

You have just reached stage one. The officer will now review and if he is not satisfied he will send you a procedural fairness letter. You can either send additional proof now, or wait and respond to the procedural fairness.

@legalfalcon thanks for replying to my questions before. I have a few questions with regards to my application. My AOR is March 18th , I applied for GCMS on May 23 and received it on June 22. The GCMS notes were generated on May 24 (mentioned on the notes) and according to that my eligibility was still under Review. In fact in the notes column the initial agent had mentioned Review Required for the additional points claimed for arranged employment. And the last time my file was opened was on May 5th . What I want to know is :
1. They have not contacted me or my employer till date for any clarifications or any additional documents. So how will they go ahead with processing my case? (I work for a very large world renowned Multinational company).
2. I had raised a CSE on June 3 and I received a reply on June 13th. They replied stating that they have all the required documents from my end and they would not need anything and would contact once the final decision has been made. So does this suggest that my eligibility was cleared by June 13th because my GCMS was generated on May 24th.
3. Do you think I should go ahead and order another set of GCMS.
I am a CEC applicant and looking at the Myimmitrackers with most March CEC guys with PPR's in hand is actually freaking me out.
Please share your suggestions .
Thanks
Since its been a month, you can request another set of GCMS notes and see if there has been any progress.

Hi Legal Falcon,

I am new to this forum and this is my first query. Apologize if you have answered this query before. Your inputs will make a big difference in my case. I got my WES report this week which is as below. With this evaluation, can I claim points for both my diploma and my degree or should I claim points only for my degree?

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Diploma (two years) and bachelor's degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

1. Name on Credential: ***

Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: India

Credential: Diploma in Computer Technology
Year: 2001
Awarded By: State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu
Major/Specialization: Computer Technology
Canadian Equivalency: Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)

2. Name on Credential: ***
Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: India

Credential: Bachelor of Engineering
Year: 2004

Hi @legalfalcon,

I will be getting my reference letters from HR, however the following information is not in the letter. They have sent me an official email stating that they cannot provide them as per their standard practice. I will attach this email in the LOE section with an explanation. What else should I do?

1.Hours of Work (they have mentioned as Permanent in the letter, but no hours)
2.Reporting Manager
3.No. of Leave
4.Other Benefits & Annual Salary (i will be attaching my bonus & increment letters)
5.Employee ID (my full name is there in the letter)
6.Previous Designations (promotion letters will be attached)

Will be attaching the following to support my employment in the employment section,

1. Service letter from HR
2. Email from HR confirming that they are unable to provide above details
3. Letter of appointment, promotion letter and bonus & increment letters
4. Salary Slips

Furthermore I will explain this in LOE and attach the HR email and letters in item 3 above in LOE section.

Would above be sufficient?
You can get a letter from a colleague or someone in the organization on a plain paper and get it notarized. Then explain it in LoE and also attach supporting documents. That will work .

Hello @legalfalcon I received my notes today. I can make out from the notes the Eligibility, Criminality is passed. but I am kind of wondering, where do I stand w.r.t BGC/Security?
In your opinion am I under SS ?

In addition, I have some additional question:

-What are they implying on pages where they have with held the information?
-I do not see any details such Work Exp, IELTS record of my spouse, is this normal? I am the PA
-Whats happening on Page# 90 wrt info sharing, why do I see Partner: USA and Type: Biographic?

Since you applied under the privacy act the information retracted is similar to s 15 / 16 of the Access to information act.

Did you spouse sign the consent to release her / his info? If not then that info will be retracted.

Hi legalfalcon

I just noticed that my employment reference letter is not dated and my employer is not ready to give me a new one! Could this be a problem??
Thanks
No, not an issue. However, if you have submitted the application, no need to worry, if not, then you can explain it in Loe.

An update for @legalfalcon. Hi legalfalcon, i got new gcms notes last night. Not much has really changed between the May notes and the July notes. Eligibility and security still haven’t started. Medical and criminality passed in March. R10 ok as of March as well.
There was a note from a London agent stating that since all of my job and education histories were in the US and I was out of the US on a long trip to a different country, where I’d now indicated was my new address, it would be logical to transfer my application again to either NY/LA. I’m guessing Ottawa sent my file to London because of the change in residence and since it was the closest to my new residence.

I filed the EE application a week after temporarily relocating from the US. So maybe this threw them off and that’s why my file has bounced from London to LA/NY?

I read on a different forum that when files are sent to the LA office, it’s because they’ve been flagged... however there’s still nothing in the notes indicating concern besides the agent from CIO Ottawa indicating a review is required for eligibility without giving reasons. Would you advise at this point to order a new set of gcms notes this coming week? Perhaps there might be some movement. Thanks so much again for all your support and insightful feedback.
The files get processed at the LvO as they are the ones who have the local knowledge and also the resources to verify the details.

No need to worry yet .

Hi Legal Falcon,
Thank you for all your guidance and support for our express entry applications.
I am facing an issue for my profile regarding dependent child. I received ITA in May 2018 and I selected to continue the application. We are 3 members, Myself, spouse and child (2 years). When we clicked continue application option, we see 3 sections one for each member on application.
For my child, header of the section showed as below by default.
XXXXXXX: Unaccompanying, PR Child Form
And also, In the personal details section for my child, system defaultly selected
"NO" for the below question
Will this person accompany XXXXX to Canada?
I am totally confused as I never specified my child as not accompanying and I also gave 3 members for total no of members in the application.
In my express entry profile it never asked details about my dependant. Only place I was able to specify is "No of accompanying members" and I made sure to give 3.

Is this usual to all applicants with children or did i miss anything in my profile?
Is there any way to make my child as accompanying from non accompanying?
I believe I have answered your question on the Facebook page.
