Education & work experience are two different things for eligibility. One has no connection with the other.

Dear Asivad Anac,
I have a question regarding the validity of India PCC for my wife. My wife got PCC from India (Delhi) on 29 July 2015. She left India in Oct 2015 and currently staying in Canada with me on tourist visa.

From CIC I can understand that “For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.”

Certainly her PCC is issued before she left India in Oct 2015. But she didn’t stay in India for 6 month. She moved from Singapore to India in July 15 and then to Canada on Oct 2015.
I would like to know if her PCC is still valid and can be used for PR application in feb 2016.

I could have got a new PCC from Canada, but unfortunately BLS guys are telling me that Indian consulate don’t issue PCC for the people on tourist visa.

Please advice

What i get from your post is that your wife doesn't need PCC from India at all, for her PR application.

CIC is weirdly arbitrary regarding PCC from countries where one has stayed for some time after getting the PCC. In this case, when was the last time your wife stayed in India for more than 6 months in a row? Assuming it was sometime after they turned 18 and before Jul '15, this PCC should suffice. But there is that small concern of her having lived in India for 3 months after getting this PCC.

Recommend that you get a fresh PCC for your wife.

Hi

We have applied under CEC and have bc pnp. For proof of fund we just submitted one year bank statements but didn't submit letters from our bank. Also the top page of the bank statement has details name, bank address, balance but not sure about the opening date.
Do you think cic will count it as a incomplete file?

If you qualified under CEC and applied with 600 points based on PN, you wouldn't need to showcase POF. The documents you have submitted would suffice.

Hello Asivad Anac,

I have quick question about POF...

I have tax free saving account (TFSA) under investment category. I am getting my pay stub in checking account and after a month or two normally I am transferring money into saving account (TFSA).

So my question is- Can we show this has a proof of fund ? Does investment account can work for POF ?

I am asking because this money is easy available but I have to wait for 2-3 business days to get this money out from TFSA to checking account.
Hi,

I have the same question with you. Could we use TFSA for a proof of fund? Thank you.

Hello Asivad and folks,

I am at the stage of getting my photo clicked for EE profile. I note that the requirements are -

1) Final frame size - 35mm x 45mm
2) Size of the head, from chin to crown - 31mm x 36mm

Please confirm if this the one that needs to be uploaded to the EE file?

Thanks Asivad.

I just check our invitation letter and we have applied under Provincial Nominee program (PNP). Therefore, do we need to show proof of fund in this category though we already showed. Also, what would be the case if it goes down from the required amount after deduction from the credit card loan?

Hi Asivad Anac,

I have a question about my spouse's work experience in Express Entry.

I am the main applicant. When I created the profile in EE, I was asked to fill in my wife’s employer name and other employment information.

If I can receive an ITA in the near future, could I be demanded by CIC to provide my wife’s reference letter?

My wife’s work experience cannot give me any helpful CRS points because I already have had enough points to get an ITA.

Thank you so much.

These were recently updated. Point 1 is now revised to 50*70.

PNP applicants are checked for eligibility under CEC > FSW > FST in that order. If you qualify under CEC, you are exempted from POF requirements.

If you've already showed POF to the province, you can choose to reuse those same documents. Even if the amount is slightly reduced, it shouldn't matter if you're under CEC.
