The 'system' isn't intelligent enough to determine on its own if your spouse's work experience is outside or inside Canada and alter document requirements accordingly. Hence you would be prompted to upload documents if you provide your spouse's experience in your profile.yxlxh said:Hi Asivad Anac,
I have a question about my spouse's work experience in Express Entry.
I am the main applicant. When I created the profile in EE, I was asked to fill in my wife’s employer name and other employment information.
If I can receive an ITA in the near future, could I be demanded by CIC to provide my wife’s reference letter?
My wife’s work experience cannot give me any helpful CRS points because I already have had enough points to get an ITA.
Thank you so much.
The good news though is that you can get away with providing just about any document in that placeholder if you don't need those points. That's because the officer is anyways going to either ignore that section (if spouse's work experience was acquired outside Canada) or provide 0 points (if reference letter doesn't have all the relevant details even though the experience was acquired inside Canada). Another good news is that you can safely remove this entire section from your application thereby not allowing the 'system' to prompt you for any documentation at all here. Either ways, it doesn't matter because you don't need any points from this section. Your call.
All the best!
