Yesterday i went to get police clearance certificate in passport office. But unfortunately, by mistake, that lady put a "CANCELLED" seal in my passport thinking that i came for re-issue/renewal.

Now she told me that she'll re-issue a new passport. After that, she'll issue a clearance cert using new passport only.

My question is, I acquired OOPNP through old passport, can i change my passport details in e-APR? pl let me know.

Not a problem. Just inform both OINP and CIC about the updated passport.

Its a blunder on their part. It was not your mistake, so to speak. You may enter the details of new passport and attach a LOE describing your situation. I think that should work.

I received AOR on 12th NOV. just received request to upload IELTS score .

Is it normal scenario for request for IELTS? How do I upload score to my application? can I just upload a scan copy of the result?

Message says,

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the
review of your application, we require the following documents:

IELTS: Original IELTS language proficiency results (photocopies are not
acceptable) This must be received at this office by: 2015/12/02

Hi Asivad.. when you got a rejection in the summer about 15 weeks post AOR, did your BG show as "in progress" prior to getting the refusal letter? I'm very concerned about a rejection due to "incorrect NOC code" and was hoping that my BG going to "in progress" meant that I passed the eligibility test and that now they're just reviewing my PCC and other documents.
So my question again would be did you get your refusal letter without having your BG check started, or was it already in progress when you got the refusal letter? Thanks

Your Indian PCC is valid till you go back and live in India for 6 months or more in a row. You don't need to get a fresh PCC now.

Hi Asivad,

I got request in my CIC account to submit singapore police clearance on 4th November. I have submitted that on 25th November which was issued on 17th November 2015.. Today I received another message in my CIC to submit an original copy of Singapore PCC. Though in 1st message also it was mentioned to submit original PCC but the instruction was to upload in my CIC . This 2nd message came from high commission of Canada from Singapore. Now it is not written to upload in my CIC account. but when I go to submitted application section, it shows the place to upload additional documents. Can you please suggest about my following doubts:

1. I stayed in Singapore for 7 months in 2007, 2 months in 2010 and after that I traveled to Singapore more 8 times including one travel in November this year. But those travels each were only for few days. When I requested for Police clearance, Singapore police force informed me they do not issue Clearance for social visit and if the stay is less than 6 months. So I got the clearance only for the 7 months stayed in 2007. Is the 2nd request letter is about this? Is the duration of stay after 2007 an issue here? But nothing is mentioned about duration in the letter.

2. 1st request letter I received from CIC and 2nd request letter I received from High Commission of Canada, Immigration section, Singapore. Canadian embassy in my country does not process immigration visa and the immigration applications from my country is processed in Singapore.
Is it possible that my case is transferred to Singapore office and they need the certificate again for their record.

3. How should I submit the PCC ? Should I submit hard copy or through my CIC account ? In the 2nd application, it is mentioned that " We require an updated original Certificate of Clearance for members of your family who are 18 years of age or older"....." Please submit your Singapore PCC as soon as possible. Please quote your name, date of birth and file number on the police certificate." . But at the same time there is an option in my CIC also to upload the PCC. What should I do now? upload the PCC or sending hard copy or sending in both ways?

Hi all,

I recently lose my bank debit card, which has been used as the log-in for my CIC account. So, I got a new debit card from the bank, but my permanent residence application under FSW in Express Entry does not shown up. I tried the "link my application to this account", but the result is that no record has been found. What will happen to my application? My status on ECAS is "in process" with 5 lines. I have sent a case specific inquiry to CIC, but also want to know any members experienced the same issue before and how to resolve it.

I mean, if I need to re-apply PR again that would be ridiculous

I need your response on this please. I have a degree in lab technology before coming to Canada for my post grad in environment. I'm presently working in an engineering lab with one of the oil and gas servicing coy in Canada. The experience letter I received from my manager mentioned that I'm working as an engineering technician. My job description is also more than 80% related to NOC 2232 (Mech. Engr. technician). The question I have is, I'm I good to apply under the code NOC 2232 even as I do not have engineering background.

1) Enquire how quickly you can get a passport with your updated address!
2) If you can get it within 30 days, then go for it.
3) If not, then no!
4) Your PCC needs to be valid only at the time of submission of your eAPR. Do not worry about future validity.
