You can safely ignore the PN. At 475, you will certainly get an ITA before 2015 is over and most probably in November itself.
Asivad you are once again correct, it happened even in November. Right now I am feeling such a joy inside me, such that I haven't felt in a really long time. Still this is my first post after receiving ITA. I just wanted to thank you from my heart for giving such a valuable information to the crowd on this forum.

Sometimes you make me wonder whether you are a man or a woman, but reading through your posts I have realized that you are probably not even from this planet. You must be Vulcan given the logic and reason behind your answers :)

Hi Asivad.. when you got a rejection in the summer about 15 weeks post AOR, did your BG show as "in progress" prior to getting the refusal letter? I'm very concerned about a rejection due to "incorrect NOC code" and was hoping that my BG going to "in progress" meant that I passed the eligibility test and that now they're just reviewing my PCC and other documents.
So my question again would be did you get your refusal letter without having your BG check started, or was it already in progress when you got the refusal letter? Thanks
Still on vacation but a quick answer here. My BG check NEVER started/moved to In Progress. It stayed as 'Not Started' when I got my refusal letter. It doesn't mean that they didn't perform a BG check - just that the process back then for outlanders did not include BG status changing almost till one got the PPR.

Hi Asivad. I got the invite finally. :) 40 under CEC.

Hello Congrats All! Finally!:)
Few questions here:
Now when I click on continue application I see
Personal details: In progress
Contact details: In progress
Study and Language: In progress
Application details in progress
Representative: Completed ( I am not using a consultant or help)
Work History: Completed
Personal history: Not Started

Is this what everyone sees? If yes, what are the next steps?

very kind of you to answer my question while on vacation. Thanks a lot. Hopeful that BG check in progress implies that they found me eligible and found my NOC code acceptable. Time will tell :) Enjoy your vacation!

In the process of filling the form:

Under Personal details while filling the Education details I have questions.

I did a 1 year program in Canada and a 4 year Bachelors in India.

While filling the timelines for these what should I choose for the type: 2 or more diploma degree or certificate for both?
Or
For 1 year I choose the 1 year certificate from college or university and
For 4 year degree from India I choose the bachelor's degree

Under Travel history, when they say last 10 years, how do you mention the history?
So the trips outside India to another country while residing in India and the trips outside Canada while residing in Canada?
If yes, what should be the order?
I start with leaving India and coming to Canada for studying; I took a few trips to US in my last 2 years and one trip back to India while in Canada.
I am a little lost here

Hi Asivad,

I got request in my CIC account to submit singapore police clearance on 4th November. I have submitted that on 25th November which was issued on 17th November 2015.. Today I received another message in my CIC to submit an original copy of Singapore PCC. Though in 1st message also it was mentioned to submit original PCC but the instruction was to upload in my CIC . This 2nd message came from high commission of Canada from Singapore. Now it is not written to upload in my CIC account. but when I go to submitted application section, it shows the place to upload additional documents. Can you please suggest about my following doubts:

1. I stayed in Singapore for 7 months in 2007, 2 months in 2010 and after that I traveled to Singapore more 8 times including one travel in November this year. But those travels each were only for few days. When I requested for Police clearance, Singapore police force informed me they do not issue Clearance for social visit and if the stay is less than 6 months. So I got the clearance only for the 7 months stayed in 2007. Is the 2nd request letter is about this? Is the duration of stay after 2007 an issue here? But nothing is mentioned about duration in the letter.

Your stay after 2007 is not the issue here. You are not being asked for PCC(s) for any of those short visits.

2. 1st request letter I received from CIC and 2nd request letter I received from High Commission of Canada, Immigration section, Singapore. Canadian embassy in my country does not process immigration visa and the immigration applications from my country is processed in Singapore.
Is it possible that my case is transferred to Singapore office and they need the certificate again for their record.

Probably. But that isn't how EE works - the entire documentation process is online and routed through MyCIC. The only time an applicant has to furnish physical documents is (if and) when they are asked to come in for an interview.

3. How should I submit the PCC ? Should I submit hard copy or through my CIC account ? In the 2nd application, it is mentioned that " We require an updated original Certificate of Clearance for members of your family who are 18 years of age or older"....." Please submit your Singapore PCC as soon as possible. Please quote your name, date of birth and file number on the police certificate." . But at the same time there is an option in my CIC also to upload the PCC. What should I do now? upload the PCC or sending hard copy or sending in both ways?

Upload in MyCIC. Also check if you have made any errors in the application and accidentally indicated a 2nd stay of 6 months or more.

Thank you

Hello Asivad,

I need your response on this please. I have a degree in lab technology before coming to Canada for my post grad in environment. I'm presently working in an engineering lab with one of the oil and gas servicing coy in Canada. The experience letter I received from my manager mentioned that I'm working as an engineering technician. My job description is also more than 80% related to NOC 2232 (Mech. Engr. technician). The question I have is, I'm I good to apply under the code NOC 2232 even as I do not have engineering background.
Not a problem. As long as your job responsibilities closely match the chosen NOC's main duties, you are good to go.

All the best!

No harm in including all the travels. India - Canada - US - Canada - US - Canada - India - Canada.

Hey Asivad,

Got ITA in yesterday's draw. In regards to the medicals, do I need to wait for CIC to write to me and send me the medical form or should I just go ahead and book an appointment by myself?

Also, what should I be telling the doctor? I remember there was some confusion about the type of medical exam you're supposed to do, as some mistakenly might do for you the one that is required for temp worker rather than permanent residents.

I'm outland FSW btw.

Thanks!

Book it upfront, CIC won't send you any additional documentation for this ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

Also, what should I be telling the doctor? I remember there was some confusion about the type of medical exam you're supposed to do, as some mistakenly might do for you the one that is required for temp worker rather than permanent residents.

Just inform them that you want to undergo upfront medicals for PR. That should suffice. They know what needs to be done next. The confusion in August was due to CIC cancelling some applications incorrectly, they were subsequently reopened so all is well now.

I'm outland FSW btw.

Thanks!

Thanks Asivad. Just wanted to make sure I'm clear with the terminology just in case this comes up whilst I'm there :). It turns out I have bookmarked the thread where this was mentioned and apparently the category should be non-EDE.

My local clinic unlikely has that eMedical system with CIC, so will try to book an appointment soon so by the time I'm ready to submit application I'd have the necessary medical paperwork ready.

Cheers

I'm kinda of in the same boat as urself. I'm a bit worried about being rejected due to POF, however my BG status changed to 'in progress' about 2 months ago (I got AOR in July 30) so hoping im past the stage that I could be rejected for that reason
