No, they are not going to reject the application for this. Since the doctor has not submitted all the results yet, it shows "In Progress". Once your doctor submits the results, it will be set to "Passed" if your reports are clear. Relax!
Tnx Raj. Well I guess they wont be clear because I have some erythrocytes in urine (the clinic didnt tell me anything, its an assumption based on my previous urine tests from back home). I am not taking any medication for it, nor is a danger to public health. I was able to find similar cases on the forum and despite the "problem" they passed successfully.

They are looking for diseases that would be a danger to Canada (Tuberculosis etc) AND diseases that would be a burden on Canadian Healthcare (Cancer/HIV/untreated heart disease etc). Unless your disease falls into those categories, you should be fine. They might request additional tests but rejections based on medical grounds are minimal (unless they really have a valid reason to reject you, they don't do it).

Plus, if it makes you feel better, there is no direct rejection per say. They might request additional tests (furtherance tests).

It makes me feel much better, thank you!

PS Its not even a disease, its a condition where you can see blood cells in urine under microscope (invisible to naked eye), what can indicate a problem with kidneys.
First time doctors detected it when I was 18, my mom lives with it, and my grandmother had.

It doesnt fall under those categories you mentioned.

Yes, by "disease" I meant the underlying reason for erythrocytes in Urine. Good luck!

Hi Asivad,

Could you please answer a question for me:

I have my name (Firstname last name) printed on every official document. I have two Criminal record checks. One from Pakistan and one from Canada.

When you submit your application in Canada, it asks if you have ever used any other name. Sometimes unofficially (for eg. In Exam paper), I have also used my middle name (first name middle name last name). Therefore in my police check in Canada, I gave my both names. Therefore, my Canadian PCC has two names listed on it. 1. First name last name / 2. First name middle name last name.

Now I am worrying that seeing these two names on my Canadian PCC, They might ask to have both names on Pakistani PCC as well.

It is very difficult to get another PCC from Pakistan. However I could have another PCC from Canada stating only one name. Technically, first name last name is used on all official documents including passports. But not sure as it is on record with police services that I have used both names.

Also if I take risk of using two names only on one doc, I might need one and same person affidavit which is not a big deal but it worries me that Pakistani PCC has only one name listed.

Please reply. Thanks

I have an Indian passport and I have my surname blank as I don't have a surname. My whole name "ABC DEFG" is typed under the Given Name.

I tried the putting my whole name in the first name field but CIC website does not let you save the form unless you put a last name. Therefore in my Express Entry profile I have filled my whole name into the Last name field as "ABC DEFG" and have kept my first name empty. The help text for this field mentions last name also as "Family Name"

That is how my husband's company's attorney had kept it in my current work permit.

Is this ok??

Yes, this is what CIC's FAQ says to do.

Thanks istari!

Few more questions:

1. Does paying applications and residency fees expedite the process. Asking because it will be easier on the expenses to pay separately but in case it does we can pay it now?

2. There is a section where it asks whether we have applied to IRCC before and if yes what is the UCI?? Should I say "Yes" and give the UCI number printed on my open work permit?

3. Are the Medicals that we did on 31st Dec 2015 for our work permits still valid? We have never left Canada after coming here on April 4 2016?

Thanks

Might reduce the time taken because IRCC wouldn't have to send you an RPRF request and wait for you to pay up to continue processing your application.

Yes.

Not valid.

Thanks

Go with the affidavit and add a short note to explain the same. Not a deal breaker.

Unfortunately, the only way of knowing for sure would be by ordering GCMS notes. This is a generic communication and has no specific information on your application.

Thanks for the info Asivad Avac.
What do you suggest shall I apply fr gcms notes after 7.5 months or just wait..

I am based out in India... I hve a friend who resides in Canada s PR.

If she wants to access my information GCMS notes apart fr the consent form and other details... What shuld she select?

Under privacy act or right to information act?.

Kindly advise.

Cause when I browsed thru other threads I m getting mix responses...

1st response: You need to pay $5 when you request information under Information Act, but you don't need to pay when you request information under Privacy act. The information you're getting in both cases is the same. The difference is that under Privacy act you can request information on yorself or other individuals only (if they signed written consent) but not information on corporations, organizations, etc.

Counter response:Nope. Under privacy act you can only request information about yourself. However if you're requesting information on someone else's behalf then you'll have to request under access to information act. You can also request for information for yourself under access to information act. This is how cic differentiates both below:

PRIVACY ACT
Personal information is usually requested under the Privacy Act.
There are no fees charged for request made under the Privacy Act.
The purpose of the Privacy Act is to protect the privacy of individuals with respect to personal information about themselves where it is held by a government institution and to provide individuals with the right to access such information.

Note: Personal information which belongs to an individual who is not a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or currently living in Canada must be requested under the Access to Information Act.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT

All government records (which include corporate documents and personal information) may be requested under the Access to Information Act.

The application fee for request made under that Access to Information Act is $5.00 and processing fees may also be charged under some circumstances.

The purpose of the Access to Information Act is to provide a right of access to records under the control of a government institution to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or any individual or corporation present in Canada.

Kindly advise please from your experiences

A thought occurred to me, please critique: If we pay these fees separately, it will act as an application stage/progress notifier to understand when the next stage has begun, will it not?

If we pay both fees together we would be kept waiting for sometime as there won't be any status updates.

If we pay them only when they request for payment would this two part payment strategy slow application processing considerably?
