Hi there, I am soon to be sponsoring my wife on a spouse sponsor, in requirements it wants a copy of my latest tax return but I am a few year's behind on my taxes . Do I need to deal with that before I file our application? Or is there any way around it??

This doesn't say anything about taxes, however if the tax return is a required document you're going to need to take care of it to provide that document.

You will need to at least file, so that you can access the NoA or Option C to prove you are not in receipt of assistance. Otherwise, owing money to CRA isn't going to be a blocker.
