tax on goods to follow what to do?

Hi

we landed in vancouver and send some goods before arriving by post office. We were ntotified today that they arrived but they were taxed.

Is that normal?shouldy used material be taxed? if not how can I collect my goods without being taxed.

did u guys fill in a form that states that u will have goods to follow after yr landing the first time? if u had fill in the goods to follow, then u shouldnt be tax on the goods that were to follow after u have landed as i have read from the forums.

Hi,

We filled the list of goods to follow and showed to the immigration officer. He took a copy and gave us a copy and a phone number to call when I goods arrive to release them. Our goods arrived by post and where taxed. So I called the phone number and told them. I was told that they have nothing to do with goods arriving by post.

The only oprion I had is to pay the tax and ask for reimboursement and I am not sure it is going to work. I still have a lot of boxes to come so I dont know what to do.
