Supervisa timeline to New Delhi visa office

Hello guys,

My father is retired, a widow and does not own any property. He is living with my brother, and family, back home. He receives regular pension and has enough amount in his bank accounts. In such a scenario, what can be provided as a proof. of ties with the home country?

Please guide, appreciate your though and experiences.

Thanks Sanjiv for sharing the progress of the application. I am in the same boat as you, parents submitted online supervisa application on Dec 1st. No medial request yet.To expedite the process, do you think I should ask my parents to do medical test without waiting for medical request?

Because medical facility is only asking for passport, passport copy do to medical, they do not want any medical request letter or online application number. So I am thinking to do medical upfront. Any suggestions here?

Submitting medical reports before requesting by visa office also sounds good idea if medical facilities do not want any letter from visa office. I have read in the forum that many others had submitted their medical reports with the application.

Since you had already applied ,I would suggest to wait few more days because they have expedited the process of applications and doing medical does not take more time too.
you will hear good news pretty soon. My friend who had applied online on 27th Nov. also got his parents' medical request this morning.

Thanks Sanjiv. One more quick questions. In the medical request from CIC, are they asking to upload any medical receipt that we will receive from medical facility? I called a medical facility in new delhi and they said they will upload the results for CIC via e-medical system. They will not give us any receipt to upload medical results in online application. Is it true?

No the CIC has not asked to upload any receipt or anything. They have simply sent medical forms with their biodata and application number.. They have asked to go to approved medical facility with photo ID and those forms. After that , medical team will send their reports online..

If possible, please let us know your future timelines (when become available) ,that is when you will get the supervisa.

I applied Super Visa(online) for my mother on 18th October, 2015. It goes to Chandigarh, India office. Her Medical got updated online as passed on Oct 27th, 2015. But I haven't received any update yet after that. CIC showing 23 days processing time for Chandigarh office.

Any suggestions? Why CIC is taking more time then processing time.

Hi kulwindergrewal,

I would suggest to send the case specific enquiry. Have you completed the upfront medical test or you did the medical after getting the medical request?

It's my pleasure to share the information..
I created this thread when I was in dilemma regarding the average current timeframe of Supervisa in Newdelhi by thinking it would help us to know the present situation of applicatiins processings; when to expect medicals and visa . For sure , I will keep updating the case progress and new updates. Let's hope many other friends will also join and share their timelines.


Regrading medicals for Supervisa, I have read somewhere in the forum,...people are using three different ways :

First, doing medical upfront and submitting with application....

Second, submitting applications online and waiting for the medical instructions from cic which is the easiest way...

Finally, doing medicals after submitting applications(while the application is in process) and without waiting medical instructions from cic if medical facilities agrees to do so....and sending through email attachment with file number....

In your case, I still think, it would be better to wait few more days for cic's medical instructions...

I pray for speedy process of your application..

Wow ! it's really long time.
I am not 100% sure but it seems that online applications are not processed through concerned visa offices but somewherelse.
Because, my parents applications were supposed to be processed at New Delhi visa office but they got their medical requests from email..at 10 am Saturday of New Delhi time.. I doubt the visa officer worked in Saturday morning in New Delhi on their applications and issued medicals...

Anyway, the good news is that your mother' s medical passed status updated..Now they are working fast to clear more applications before Christmas vacation.. So I believe she will get visa pretty soon..

And only my mom' s application status changed to medical "passed" on Thursday..
But my fathers' medical information status is not changed yet...

Hope to get passport request from cic pretty soon...
