My father entered Canada on super visa and the immigration office at the airport just put the stamp without mentioning the period of stay. Is that stay is for 2 years or six months. Kindly let me know if that stay is for six months then what i have to do to make it two years.

Can you please tell me if he was possessing a one way or a return ticket when he arrived? If one way, did he encounter any issue at POE.

R you sure that the CBSA agent did not write any thing on top of the entry stamp? You can always call CiC and confirm with them.

yes i check it there is no entry simple stamp. But my father wrote 24 months stay in his landing/custom card. How to get explanation, please let me know as i understand that getting hold of CIC on telephone is next to impossible. Please let me know where and how to contact in this regard.

he was possessing two way ticket but no one asked him for the ticket or even the insurance policy.

Hello,

Can someone help me out on my two basic questions?

1- I arrived in Canada in Dec 2011, do not have any tax return; can i apply a super visa for my mother?

2- Can i apply a super visa for my mother-in-law.

Thank you

I believe that you need to show one year income to prove that you fulfill the income requirements. I am not sure if supervisa allow spouse to cosign for parents-in-law. You can call CiC and ask them.

Your best bet would be to call CIC. It is easier to get hold of them in the morning. Which city are you from? By the way i they have put the entry stamp, then your father can still stay up to two years because his visa allows him to do so. You can always challenge that if some one questions that. I would say just forget about the stamp as your dad is already here. No one looks at the entry stamp specially at the canadian airports when the person is going back. So just relax and enjoy your time with your dad.

If this makes you feel any good :)

I called the Canada immigration today to confirm about this matter and the agent told me that it's a maximum stay of 2 years or the super visa and can be renew after two years if needed with the same application fee of $150 CAD. I also asked if my in-laws would need to h e the return ticket with open date and he said that it's not necessary and the immigration officer wt the port of entry will only put a stamp on their passports with the date of entry. This is exciting, they'll be here this Sunday afternoon :)

Strange....It does not take over a month to get back after medical. Most probobaly they will ask for another one.

By the way I have noticed that you have exceeded the 30 day period of sending passport back to them. On the medical letter it is always written that "Applicant should send back passport with the medical within 30 days". They send you the request for medical on August 21st and you are sending passport on September 22nd. Why you guys did't send passport after the medical immediately? Anyways, I don't think so there will be an issue as medical was done before 30 day period.
You will get back in a week or two----Best of luck.

I remember it says, passport should be sent within 45 days. We had to delay because we had to go for additional blood test after initial medical. And we were waiting that they may call us again.

And now waiting for the response. Please make dua
