Super-visa question, proof of marriage and medical exam

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask a few questions about the Super Visa, and I'm hoping you guys will be able to help me. Currently I am residing in Canada with my husband, and I would like to apply for the super visa so that my mother can visit me. This means that we would be a family of 3, and we need to show the required income (income cut-off point) for 3 people. Currently I am working but I am not making the minimum required income for the 3 of us, and therefore I will need to show proof of my husband's income as well, which is not a problem. My question is, will I need to submit any proof to show that we are married, like a marriage certificate or something like that? Or would it be enough if my husband co-signs the application?

My second question is regarding the medical exam? Would my mother need to undertake a medical exam as part of the visa application process? Or is this not required? If she will need to do a medical exam, at what stage in the process does this happen? Would it be before we submit the application or afterwards?

Thank you all very much for your time and help!

Hi
You need to submit your marriage certificate as long as i know
For medical its not compulsory for supervisa if your mother staying for less than 6 months
For more then 6 months medical is compulsary
Again all depend on visa officer they might request for medical even your mother planning to stay for few months
Medical will be requested by visa officer after you submit your application to embassy

Thanks Edson and Propain for your replies.

Edson I have another question for you. Do you know if the marriage certificate must be a certified true copy / translated and notarised? Our marriage certificate is in a language that is neither English nor French, and we already have a translated copy that we had used for a previous application. But for this super visa application, would we need to have to present a certified true copy?

Thank you!
