Actually I am lost about this inviter's household...

if my gf currently rents a room from my parents house which includes me, so four people in total. So why is this information required for LICO since she is not supporting us? for four ppl, the LICO is much higher than what she makes as opposed to using 1 person.

Also if she rents a room, technically she is the only one in 'her household', no?

Thanks again Pari and everyone else!

They will need to know this because of LICO. check the LICO table

That's not the case.

The Canadian Consulate in China requires this information for applicants of regular visit visa too (not just super visa applicants). LICO is not a requirement for regular visit visas.

only canadian citizens and PR are entitled to invite parents or grandparents via super visa.
but since youre living together can be consider as a common law partners now... may be you can help her to invite and sponsor your soon to be parent in law.. actually, in my case, invitation letter is enough--and of course your proof of citizenship and relationship to them. and notice of assesment aswell

cheers!

Sorry for hijacking this thread. I am new to this type of forum. I am a Canadian citizen from HK, came here when I was 3. I am currently working now for the past 10 years. My entire family is Canadian and lives here. My question also relates to my gf who is a Chinese from Shanghai in regards to getting a Super Visa for her parents to come over and visit. She is currently living at my house with my parents since the beginning of this year.

My gf has been studying here in Canada for the past 2 yrs, graduated and got her Accounting degree in Seneca last October and just started work in Feb 2014 as an Acct Payable position which pays 30k a year.
She wants to invite her parents over for a 2 week visit but her mom insists on applying for a Super Visa and not a normal visitor visa (not sure why she insists this)
Her parents are using an visa agent in China and they require a ton of information, such as a letter of approval of residency, as well as a letter which states "People's list in my house" which states everyone who lives in the house she currently lives in (which is my parents). This includes birthdays and city of birth also. I don't see why this is needed at all. She says the Canadian Government requires this info. Is that true?
She is not a PR yet but will plan to apply for one next year with more work and income under her belt. I don't think her parents qualify for a Super Visa due to LICO and not being a PR but she says there were changes in 2014 which makes her eligible to apply her parents over. (I can't verify this on the internet). She says tons of her Chinese friends got their parents on Super Visa the past couple of years. Anyways, I tried calling CIC but I can't seem to reach a live person over the phone.
It sounds like she wants to use me as a sponsor (which I don't mind honestly) but I want to make sure what her agent in China is telling me is true?

I know I am a newbie here but I dont know what to do. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thx Jerick.

I plan to do that after i make sure me and my gf is for real and get engaged. Her parents are not in a rush as they are both working and relatively young, 50s, so no need to sponsor them so quickly.

When that time comes, I may need to ask you for some good advice. Thanks
