I know this question has been asked many times but most posts date back to 2011 and 2012 and are not current.
I read somewhere that it is possible for a parent who is in Canada on a regular visitor visa to apply for a super visa from within canada by submitting the application to CPP-Ottawa.
I understand that an extension of stay can be applied for through Vegreville AB. But i am more interested in the 10 year super visa that is stamped on the passport. The extension through vegreville is only a visitor permit which becomes void when the person leaves canada. So you have to stay in canada. The 10 year visa allows you to come and go anytime.
So back to the original question, have there been any changes that allow for parents to apply for a super visa from within canada through CPP-ottawa?
Or is there a way to apply for a visa once you get an extension of stay from vegreville?
Merci
