Hi

My father is a kidney transplant patient. His transplant was done 10 years back. Now the kidney test results are slightly elevated as the performance of the transplant decreases over time but he still is fine and the kidney transplant will work for the foreseeable future. I would like to know if anyone has had a similar scenario and was able to get a super visa for them or not?

Depends on his overall health, his current kidney function level, etc. You should be aware that his routine meducatiion and care will not be covered under supervisa insurance and that you can only bring a 90 day supply of medication with you when you come to Canada. You’ll need to look at the fine print of the supervisa insurance to see if any hospitalization related to his kidney will be covered by the supervisa insurance. These cases are so individual that it is really hard to compare to other cases. I think he has a decent chance at getting a visa if he was asking for a shorter stay so that may be an option. It also depends on his ties to his home country.

I am looking for advice regarding my parents' visa application.

In March last year, my parents and younger brother applied for visitor visas, but their applications were rejected due to a lack of strong ties to their home country. We are now considering applying for a Super Visa for my parents.

My father has chronic kidney disease, but his condition is stable, and he does not require dialysis. Since a medical exam is required for the Super Visa, we are concerned that IRCC might reject his application due to his health condition. We will purchase the mandatory medical insurance and will cover all medical expenses if needed.

Does anyone have experience with similar cases?
• Could my father's medical condition lead to a rejection?
• Given these circumstances, would it be better to apply for a visitor visa or proceed with the Super Visa?

Any insights or advice!

Noted that most medical insurance will not cover pre-existing condition.

So be prepared to pay for any medical needs he have in Canada.
Recently a member posted that a sudden hospital visit ended up with 200k bill which 100k may be covered by insurance...
But he/she was trying to figure out the rest of the debt.
