Hi Guys,

Has anyone with a refugee background (but a citizen or permanent resident now) applied for super visa to get their parents to come to Canada. Could you please share your experiences?

I don't think it will be approved...
They will say that you will do a refugee file to your parents like the one you have done for you.

But anyway try and keep us updated with the situation

Canada
Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
hi!You can check information on government web site. But definetely you have to satisfy an immigration officer that you have ties, such as a job, stability. Also satisfy an immigration officer that your parents will leave Canada at the end of their visit;
One of other important conditions to receive a Super Visa is to present proof that they have bought Canadian Medical Insurance Coverage for at least one year.
(You can now buy medical Insurance for Super Visa online)
A key requirement for obtaining a Super Visa is proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company.
The coverage must:

• Be valid for a minimum of one year

• Cover health care, hospitalization and repatriation

• Provide a minimum coverage of $100,000

• Be valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a port of entry officer

Hi guys,

Any updates on this topic? if anyone has any experience with CIC in regards to supervisa for parents please share it. I'm in the same situation as the poster of this topic and would like to apply for my mother to visit me and I'm worried due to refugee background they may reject her visa application even though I'm quite sure she will return back to her job and my siblings.

@ yoli999 I tried to email you but the email is not working.

Any thoughts or experiences would be helpful and appreciated.

Regards,
J
